8 Month Check:

We went to visit Dr Ngiam just for a check since we've been back from Bangkok.
He says he's happy with Tyler's growth and that there it is not neccessary to see him until Tyler is 1 year old, due for his next vaccination.

I asked Dr N's advise about the amount of milk infant at Tyler's age require, Dr N's reply was, "ZERO!" His arguement is Milk is purely food! Infants drink milk because they are unable to digest or swallow any solids. But once your child has started on solids, it is not neccessary to feed him milk. Intense marketing of formula milk makes us believe that we HAVE to give it to our children. Only feed him if he wants. I was shocked... Well, my opinion is, as long as I can, I will try to let Tyler continue drinking milk for easy calcium and other nutrients. Then again, I won't be so stress about it though~ ;)
