Sweet Wednesday

I am 19 weeks pregnant today~ Looks like Wednesday is going to be my favourite day of the week! I am starting to feel huge and fat. Been trying to eat more healthily to provide enough nuitrients for bao bao. I'm craving for BBQ fish! Hope to get some tonight!! =)

Who can resist sweet indulgence once in awhile?
Our Secret Meeting at Secret Garden... Nice desserts with nice ambience and nice company...

Me & Hot Mama Kelly

Earl Grey :: Crepe Cake

Tiramisu :: Thai Milk Tea
(I only had a taste of the Tiramisu, Self discipline!)

Got my provisional results for my Bachelor in Marketing Management (Hon) course today... I passed the final semester!!! I was so worried ever since the day i handed in my assignments... Although it's not what i initially aimed for, I am just glad that i did it. I was really struggling to complete the assignments during my 1st trimester -(two 3,000-words and one 10,000-words).  TOUGH TOUGH TOUGH~ Nausea, headaches, moodswings, eczemas, coping with my hormones changes and Tiki being away from me... And i never wanna go thru that hell-hole ever again... I am just pleased to have completed this course! If nothing goes wrong, I'm gonna be a Graduate! YEAH!!! I can finally sleep peacefully at night... For now~ Next stop Masters in ??? hehe~

Over the Weekend~

Weekend was pretty tiring but fruitful...

Met with fellow Singaporeans: Roland, Kelly (she's from Vietnam) and their little one, Van-Dylan~ He was such a cutie and well-behaved for a 9-month old... Miss him already... =) Roland and Kelly's been giving us alota advise on how to cope with my pregnancy and life here in BKK... Sweet couple~

After lunch with them, Tiki and me went to Peninsular Plaza again... And guess what? I bought myself a blouse and a dress... The dress is meant to be for the my Cousin Cheryl wedding I hope to be attending in September... Feel so excited each time i think about it... Anyway, I'm not sure if i will stick to this dress... I can be really fickle when it comes to fashion~

We visited the ICA Church on Sunday with Roland's family... It's quite different from the Wesley.... Much more vocal... i enjoyed church here... Florence invited us to visit her beautiful home after church... Her place is about 1-hour away from Bangkok city... Peaceful and serene... I like the tranquility there... feels like a resort... She made Singapore cuisine: Hokkien Prawn Mee, Duck & Salted Vegetable Soup, Roast Chicken, Ice-cream with brandied cherrys, Fresh strawberry and chocolates! Yummy!! I was so full and felt double pregnant~ Luckily, we went for  a digestive walk around the compound, to the lake full of humongous catfish~

We were so tired when we arrive home... here's what we did...

Me lazing in bed

Tiki enjoying his Jacuzzi

I went to Emporium today for shopping alone... Got some new undergarments... Yah... the current ones don't really fit anymore...

Had Mos Burger for lunch!!
Yes, it's also super nice over here...

Head over to Gourmet Market to buy some groceries for dinner. Kelly said i should take more beef, so i bought wagyu since it had to be well-done... I was hoping wagyu will help with the toughness... And it did! I'm actually salivating again right now~

Wagyu Beef, 370gm = SGD27

So i made Tiki's fave tonight... Here's what we had...

His Lobster Bisque :: Mine Carrot Tomato

Caesar Salad with Quail Eggs & Avocado

My Wagyu Beef Steak with
Butter Baked Potatoes and Garlic Bread

Tiki's Fave, Lamb Chop with
Butter Baked Potatoes and Garlic Bread

Let's Dig In!
(Yes I'm still wearing my Apron)

Felt bao bao kicking while i'm listening to Wonderful Tonight and writing this blog entry... Kicking's getting stronger... Loving It! =)

Splendid Friday

Was woken up by a call at 9am this morning~ But i didn't pick up the call in time... So i laze around a little bit (30mins) before calling back... It was Florence asking me out for Lunch! She suggested Shin Taro at Four Seasons... Wooo~ How can i say no to Gourmet food? hehe... So we agreed to meet at 11.30am. Here's what we had... I must say, the food was... Fabulous! =)

My Ice-Lemon Tea
I thought it was really cool... Check out the Tea Ice cubes
The point is, i can blend the taste to my own liking by adding more english tea, lemon concentrate & syrup...
Wonderful!

Plain but impressive Zensai...
Broiled Chicken with Radish

Seafood Salad

Eel Maki wrapped with Avocado~
Need i say more??

Soft-shell crab Maki
Yes! I love soft-shell crab! Don't stop me!!

Teapot Soup with Scallop

Yaki Beef
It has to be well done! ARGH~ Nevertheless... still taste good!

Then we head over to Peninsular Hotel Shopping arcade where Florence introduced me to several of the shop owners... And I loved the shops! The accessories, furnishings, jewellery, paintings, etc, etc... Exquisite~! Anyway, we met Rudy who designed her own semi-precious stones jewellery. She showed me stuffs made out of elephant hair... VERY NICE!!

There's another impressive shop. The owner's husband is a painter/artist, that's why her shop is filled with paintings by husband... I love the style of the shop... lotsa knick knacks... messy yet classy~  I also got to see the REAL painting of her... She's a real beauty! Even now, at the age of 71, she looks fantastic... Flawless skin, full head of hair, nice posture and etiquette! I wanna be like her when i grow old! heehee~

This is a model made by her husband.
It's a mini replica of her husband's study at home while he was painting her...
Isn't it romantic? To enhance the level of romance, when you on the light in the "room",
the melody of Somewhere Over the Rainbow starts playing...
Aww~ I know...

Here's the Desk i fell in love with in the shop...
Can i have one? Pleassseee?? hee~ (SOLD OUT)

I also had my Mani & Pedi today... Not impressed but good enough... Cost me less than SGD20 for both services. The manicurist used Kaffir Lime to polish my fingers and toes... smells nice, kills bacterial and also has positive effects on nail, skin and hair. But the most surprising thing she did to help accelerate the drying process was......... USING HAIR DRYER! She practically kneeled in front of me for 20 minutes blow drying my nails!! Well, i still wasn't completely dry when i left the spa, so i sorta ruined a couple of nails.

Dinner at Hachi~ YES! Japanese Food again~

Teppanyaki~

Tiki had the King Prawn Teppanyaki Set with Sake

While I had Gyoza, Prawn Tempura & Yaki Soba

Sawasdii Kha

Had Thai Lesson Number 4 today! Learnt how to tell time in Thai... But right now i can't remember most of it off hand... Khruu Rampeung (Teacher) is dii maak maak (very very nice) lady and keep advising me about pregnancy Dos & Don'ts~ Apparently she said that if i eat too much spicy stuffs baby will cry inside and come out with no hair! I sure hope that's not true! hehe...

Went to the Post Office at Sathorn City Building today.... I was directed by a lady to B1 by stairs (towards food court) but i couldn't find my way so i went back up to the ground floor... then i had to ask another lady in the building... She brought me to a lift and once again, directed me to B1 by lift this time. When the lift door opened, i was greeted by a carpark!! Then i saw a signage, so i followed... I actually had to go thru the carpark to find the Post Office located right at a corner of the carpark! I find that quite perculiar... Luckily the staffs there could speak some English... When i asked for rates to send a package to Iceland, an Experienced-looking staff showed me rates for Ireland! haha... I had to spell I-C-E-L-A-N-D it out... and said Nam Keng (Ice in thai)... then another Younger staff overheard and assisted the both of us... So i needed Experienced-looking staff to photocopy the rates for me... He was using this Epson Printer cum Copier cum Scanner cum Fax, all-in-one machine and I stood there watching him for about 10mins while he printed it out... IN COLOUR!! I wanted to laugh... B&W would have been more than adequate... But they were really nice... NO CHARGE~ so i said Thank you SO MUCH! That was cute! hehe~

2 pieces of postage rates In Colour
( i think it costs about S$1 per piece of colour printing in sg)

Headed over to Sambuca for Italian food tonight... Food was really good... But i was seated facing all the Parma Ham Leg while the server was slicing it and also a whole cooler full of cheese and deli meat... Argh! How frustrating can it be?! I almost drooled when i saw all the goodies! But anyhow, dinner was nice... Adding on to entertainment, they were playing Mr Bean series on TV... TiKi said we should not let our kid watch Mr Bean, just in case the mimick his actions! haha... Well, maybe the anime series is okay~ Here's what we had...
Bread

Tiki had Singha Beer, Onion Soup and Spaghetti Vongole

I had Green Apple Juice, Caesar Salad and Porcini Mushroom Ravioli

Watching the game now Italy Vs Slovakia... and Ash is furious cos it's 2-0 at 76mins... with Slovakians leading... I'm blogging this to fulfil her wish for me to RUB IT IN!! hahaha... Cheers~!
