Another Weekend in Bangkok

Tiki and me had Char Bee Hoon for dinner on Friday night. This time I added different ingredients and it tasted better! =) I also added a whole lot of Brocolli into my Campbell Cream of Asparagus Soup... I know Campbell isn't so healthy, but I haven't had it for the longest time... =)

After dinner, we watched The Usual Suspects DVD movie which we bought somedays ago... Tiki was telling me there's a twist in the movie, that it's pretty good. I must admit it's really a cool psycho thriller! I guessed the twist right in the beginning of the movie but Tiki kept denying to keep me in suspense. Probably I've watched far too many and this was made in 1995.

Saturday, same ol' Emporium groceries shopping. I had to sit down a few times to rest while Tiki continued shopping... We had Japanese food for lunch AND dinner... We head to Aoi in Silom for dinner. Food was GOOD! I can't wait to eat Sashimi!!! I like to and mimick/imagine eating all the Forbidden Food and Tiki would always laugh and say, "Soon Soon Soon! A little while more~"
Got home and watched Gospel of John then Spurs Match. I fell asleep before the game is over... I doze off pretty easily now... ;)

Dinner at Aoi

Tiki's (I cannot eat!!)
Mine!
Inaniwa Udon with Kakiage :: Inari Sushi

Sunday, we had MOS Burger for lunch... Healthier than MacD! hehehe...
Made Pasta for dinner. I haven't made cream sauce pasta for quite some time... For a change, I made Alfredo Sauce with Onion, Clams and Crabmeat to go with Wholegrain Spaghetti and top it off with some sauteed brown button mushrooms. I also marinated and pan fried a piece of Kurobuta for side. Tiki made Blackbean Peanut soup!

My Parents are arriving tomorrow!!! YEAH!!! FOR TWO WHOLE MONTHS!!!
I'm also expecting some gifts and goodies! They're are going to make TAN/TOK FAMILY cuisines for us during their stay too! 太開心了!! hehe...

Bao Bao at 36 weeks!

Less than a month... 4 more weeks to go!

Estelle gave birth last night! Her daughter, Emma, is 51cm and 3.4kg! Her gynae had advised her to induce the baby because of the size... She's just adorable!!

I told Tiki, I think I might want a girl next time... ;) We'll see~

Also, an ex-colleague of mine, Peggun, she had put on ONLY about 9kg and she's due end of November as well! I don't know how she did it!! Incredible~

Just done with organizing Bao Bao's wardrobe. Another thing to strike off my to-do list. Everything is so tiny! heehee...

I experienced PAIN on Monday while at home using the computer. It started around 1pm in the afternoon. The sharp pain on the lower right hand side of my belly. Initially, it was not really unbearable... but the pain intensified after an hour... So, I got up and walk around the house... PAIN PAIN PAIN! I broke into cold sweat then I was walking and complaining to Tiki at the same time... I began to worry abit. I mean it doesn't really feel like contraction (from what I read) but then just in case, I started to pack my Hospital Bag! Eventually, the pain sort of subsides and comes back on a few more times then nothing... LUCKY! =) I'm not even sure if it's fake contractions or whatever it was... because only the lower right side of my belly really hurts! Feels like my muscles were pulling really hard and it was sharp pain... Almost like somebody is stabbing me in the same area over and over...

I'll just check with Dr Suvit again on my next visit.

I don't think I've mentioned about bleeding gums. Well, I suffer from bleeding gums since the beginning of my pregnancy and I think it's not getting any better... After brushing, my spit is ALL RED and bloody... Yucks! I think I lost alot of iron there! Nothing I can do about it...

Breathing inside Me~

Recently, I've experienced this a couple of times... It's just AMAZING!
Initially, I keep thinking what is Bao Bao doing inside. Because the sensation is rhythmic and constant. It does not feel like him hiccuping or just squirming around.
He's Practicing Breathing!! hehe... How adorable is that? Looks like he's practicing for his Big Debut! =)

I took a video this time... View from the top right of my belly...

Chulalongkorn Day

It's a substitute Public Holiday today because Chulalongkorn Day was on Saturday, 23 Oct, 2010. He is considered one of the greatest kings of Siam. So the day is to remember the day he passed. Well, most of what I can remember of him was what I've studied in Secondary school and that he is Mongkut's son. Also, I remember him as the cute little boy with lots of questions in the movie, The King and I (1956).

Tiki Playing

We made dinner tonight. It tires me quite alot after making the meal. My feet and back would hurt. But then it's all worth it, because we get to eat something home-made and we're quite sick of eating out all the time. Tiki made his renowned Lotus roots soup while I made Eggs with french beans and tomatoes, Stir-fried bok choy, Dark Soy sauce chicken leg and Brown rice... I can't wait for my Parents to arrive! Then we can kick back and enjoy all my favourite home-cooked food!

We had a very relaxing and laid back long weekend. The usual groceries shopping on Sunday. Bought a couple of plastic drawers for Bao Bao's massive wardrobe collection as well as a New toy for him! I thought the night light was pretty cute~

Sea Turtle Night Lights
On Saturday, we visited Dr Suvit for our fortnightly check-up. From our last visit, he told us that he'll be doing an ultrasound to check on Bao Bao. But he said at 35weeks, there's not much use in checking because you cannot do anything about anything if there's anything wrong... So he advised us to postpone to another 2 weeks later. Tiki and Me were so excited initially to be able to have an ultrasound and see Bao bao since our last scan at 22weeks... so we left with some disappointment. So far everything is normal and good, except my weight gain... I don't think it's a good thing when the gynae says, "Oh my god!" when he sees the number. Oh well, I don't really care now... It is what it is~ I need to eat and I will keep eating! =)

Our Statistics:
Bao Bao's Position: Head down
Bao Bao's Heartbeat: 150 bpm
Fundal Height: 36 cm
My Blood Pressure: 130/73
My Heartbeat: 106 bpm
My Weight: 75.1kg

Bao Bao at 35 weeks!

Bao Bao is going to have a new Friend!! hehe~ It's so nice to hear the wonderful news... YEAH!! I can imagine us all playing together... =) I'm going to guess it's a BOY... hehe!
Congratulations Bryan N Cheryl!!

I went out to get somemore stuffs at the Emporium today just in case I won't be able to walk as much later stage. I shopped around for about 2 hours and I felt really tired, as if my ankles are going to give way...  But it was nice out shopping by myself again... But the traffic jam was pretty bad on the way home... I was stuck for about an hour...
Tiki was asking me yesterday, "How come you don't waddle??"
My answer was, "Because I try not to! I can waddle if I want, but as of now, I'm trying not to if I can still help it!" heehee~
I think waddling looks awful, but I know eventually I'll start... Yeah, I know, I'm vain!

The other day, Ash was telling me her pelvic crack when sleeps sometimes during her preganancy... Now I have it too! I was turning to another position then suddenly "CRACK"!! Blah! Hurts big time... Happened a couple of times already... I think I better do more stretching exercises... Hopefully it helps...

Although Prevacid has been helping me with my heartburn, I try not to take it everyday. Some days I get acid burning down my throat or riding up to my mouth. Also, because Bao bao is getting bigger, food gets more difficult to digest. Sometimes, I want to burp but the gas would not come out instead a mixture of food and acid was pushed up into the edge of my throat which I swallowed back in~ It's disgusting and nasty!

I have problem with swallowing solid/liquid into the correct passage nowadays as well... Is this part of the clumsiness of pregnancy or am I blaming everything to it? hehe! What I mean is I choke every once a while and end up coughing like a maniac!

Bao bao is very active now... And I'm very happy about this... I love feeling his butt and thighs when he's squirming around... It's really quite fun~

Prenatal Lesson 3

Today's lesson focused on postnatal care and taking care of the Baby~
I didn't think there was much content in the lesson though... Probably a few tips here and there.

Check out the picture on the slideshow. Look familiar? haha... Tiki said I copy the picture... But I took mine days before this lesson plus I got my inspiration from a TV ad!! hehe~ I like mine better... ;) Purely because it's MINE!

Lesson ended about an hour earlier than previously. But the traffic outside was so BAD!!! We had to wait for for about 45mins for our driver who eventhough he was already in the Hospital's carpark before we can even get into the car. And then another 40 mins stuck in the Hospital lane... Then, when we got out into the main road, another 30mins in the Jam!! I'm just glad it's the last lesson and we never have to go back to that place again...

Rock the Boat

We were invited by our landlord (staying right above us) to join them for dinner in their private boat last night. It was a very nice experience, given the fact that I've never been to a boat party before. The closest I've got to having a meal on a boat was from Macau to Hong Kong... hee~

I always assume that our landlord is very rich, what I didn't know is that they are Super Duper Wealthy and Famous in Thailand. I did a little research before going for the dinner. They're very much into antiques and properties. Among all the parties I've ever been to, I suppose this is the first to experience Hi-So function. Luckily, it turned out to be a very casual one! =)

We showed up at their building right along the Chao Phraya River (Pimarn Chao Phraya). It was huge and was furnished exactly like our apartment Down to the lamps and coffee tables... Only it's 10 times bigger~ We're able to see the river and the boat we'll be getting on from the balcony. They'll be expanding and converting this piece of land into a Amtada Hotel. I was telling Tiki, perhaps in future when we revisit Bangkok we could possibly get good rates and feel right at home! This is actually the first time I've met Khun Prasong and his wife, Miss Penn. It's a wonder why we've never bummed into each other. We mingled around with other 10 guests for about an hour or so... We met Luc from France and his wife, Nam Pueng, who stays 2 floors below us. They're really nice too~

It was still drizzling when we got up the Boat. Initially, Tiki was very worried that he might get seasick, but surprisingly, the boat was really stable. We chat, eat, drink (I only drank H2O), took pictures and even had a Karaoke session! Khun Prasong is a really good singer I must say... He kind of sound between like Louis Armstrong and Rod Stewart. I see Miss Penn jumping and dancing around, wishing I could join in... hee! The weather was cool and the breeze was nice... I was just taking every scene in... We passed by several landmarks, such as the Holy Rosary Church, Wat Arun and the Grand Palace. Think most people were almost drunk by the end of the night... I heard them slurring~ haha...

I had to say it was a fun-filled experience... Hope we'll get another chance soon! =)
(Khun Prasong took some nice pictures, hopefully we can get hold of them)

My 29th Birthday

I had a wonderful time tonight... Everything was Amazing and Perfect!
-All thanks to Tiki~

Well, the day didn't start off perfect because I woke up feeling groggy, sleepy and grumpy~ So as usual, I had my breakfast, log on to the internet and spent a few hours blogging, updating and surfing the web. I made lunch since Tiki couldn't have lunch with me. While watching Desperate Housewives Season 3, I had Instant noodles with eggs, prawns, bok choy and tons of tofu. You can say I wasted first half of my Birthday doing practically nothing interesting... I'm happy to see plenty of Birthday wishes for me on my mobile phone and Facebook... That sort of brightened my day a little... Thank you! =)

Today, Tiki took half-day off from work to accompany me but then he wasn't home until about 3pm due to some business lunch. While I was trying to nap... I heard "DING-DONG" then I went "Haiyah... Just laid down only!!" So I "strolled" to open the door (cannot walk very fast anymore). Surprise!! Tiki was holding a bouquet of flowers! They were so beautiful! I love the scent and colour!! I began smiling~

We bought a camera from the Changi Airport Duty Free Singapore from our last trip in September. But we didn't get onto playing with it, so I decided to start using it today... I'm totally happy with it! I actually feel like I'm a professional photographer! haha~ Still need alot of practice though~
(I mentioned to Tiki about a hundred times how I loved our new camera throughout the day.)

Anyway, we took off for dinner at 1830. The Prime restaurant we were going is across the river ___ situated in The Millennium Hilton Hotel, Bangkok. We got to enjoy the River View because we were given the window seat as per Tiki's request because it is his wife Birthday! hee~ The service and food was Fantastic... I've decided on the set menu since, it was highly recommended and I was very hungry. I enjoyed every single dish. Especially the beef, even though it had to be cooked well-done... Every bite was a surprise... I think this is by far the best piece of meat I've ever had...

Dinner ended with a surprise when the crew showed up with a Complimentary cake, singing Happy Birthday to me... I was quite embarrassed about it mainly because it is a fine dining restaurant was and it was so quiet... It felt like a sudden burst of firecrackers and everyone was looking my way...

My Birthday Slideshow

(Was trying to upload slideshow but I'm experiencing some problems with the internet. Meantime, you can browse pictures in my Facebook.)

I've enjoyed myself to the fullest tonight with the company of delectable cuisine, beautiful view, great ambience and my wonderful 老公.

I didn't just fly to the moon, I was OVER the moon!!

Bao Bao at 34 weeks!

I'm 34 weeks Pregnant on my 29th Birthday! =) Last Birthday before I become a Mommy! Next year, this time, I'll have both Bao Bao and Tiki to celebrate with me! How different will that be!?! hee~

Usually, when I sleep these couple of days, I don't feel pregnant at all... Perhaps my body is getting used to it... BUT, whenever I try to change my sleeping position or get up, I am reminded of the reality very harshly! It hurts SO bad!! My pelvics feel like it's going to break any minute!!

Today, I woke up feeling very sleepy... Bao bao had been moving all night not to mention the frequent trips to the washroom... Right now, I have a feeling that he loves to move around when I'm lying down because he has more room. As oppose to me sitting up, he's movement is due to lack of space.

I had a pack of Raw Wheatgerm sitting on the kitchen countertop for about 4months and I finally started adding them to my breakfast cereal. Read once again about all the goodness of wheatgerm, so no excuse not to eat it, though it changes the taste of the cereal by a little... Oh well, things we do for our baby!!

My Baby Bump at 34 weeks

Do you think my Tummy is Big? I'm not so sure... I thought it should be much bigger... ;)
Not much updates this week. More or less the same ol' pregnancy experience going on...

Prenatal Lesson 2

Had High Tea with Kelly this afternoon at Dusit Thani Hotel. We shared a couple of cakes together... My favourite was Milk Chocolate Banana Cake... =) Van-Dylan was just running all over the lobby cafe touching and exploring things... He's really cute... I wouldn't say he's a active baby, I think he's just really curious at this stage...
Kelly is so funny, kept insisting on taking lots of picture for me... I felt a little awkward. Her logic was to capture nice pictures one month before the baby comes... Anyway, I'll collect more pictures from her soon... Had a nice time~

Picked Tiki up from work earlier to go for Prenatal Lesson 2. This time he was able to come along with me... Thankfully! Doctor talked about Labour and the details of different types of delivery. I thought it's wise for Tiki to know the useful details at least he can interact our plans with my Gynae when D-day comes.

They also showed us the rooms for delivery in Bumrumgrad Hospital. Since I haven't seen the ones at BNH hospital, it gives me an idea how it's going to be like.

Window Shopping

Friday night, we had Steamboat at COCA for a change... Tiki and I aren't fans of steamboat but we've been so sick of eating similar food all the time. Not too bad, we had lots of vegetables! I'm sure we'll be heading back there for some simpler food.

On Saturday, Tiki brought me to a Japanese Restaurant, Aoi for lunch... They have several branches in Bangkok, and since we usually do our weekend errands at Emporium, we gave that one a try. Surprisingly, the service and food is really good and most importantly, not overpriced. I was salivating at the sashimi sets... 我忍!!

After lunch, we decided to go window shopping. Tiki is looking for a vest or sweater because according to him, his office is freezing! We popped by Louis Vuitton and Chanel for price check! hehe~ Just for fun! We're not intending to get anything... Wanted to know how much more does it cost in Bangkok. Tiki was in love with a Bag in Louis Vuitton. I just mentioned that maybe we can get a Diaper Bag from LV, then he saw this huge bag big enough for baby stuffs, which I sort of also like... Cos it looked really cool! I checked the price and it cost about a whooping SGD5,000 here! NO WAY I'm going to spend that kind of money on a DIAPER BAG!! I told Tiki, might as well buy Chanel! haha... SO! We walked away and dropped by Chanel to check out the price of my Dream Bag... It's scary how much more it costs here compared to Singapore! At least SGD700 more! It's crazy!

In the end, we didn't even get Tiki's sweater cos he couldn't find anything nice... Next stop, is Gourmet Market to do our grocery shopping... Nothing much, just routine shopping.

In the evening, we pop by the new Anna Restaurant and Art Gallery for dinner. Their menu is almost the same as the Anna and Charlie Cafe, which we frequent. Bummed into the owner, Charlie as we were leaving and I was looking at a picture of how Sathorn Road used to be... Much like a mangrove area... How things have changed.... He did his part of PR and seemed like a nice guy...

Sunday, we chilled at home watching Desperate Housewives while Tiki played with his Computer. We had MacD breakfast again! I suppose Bun with Egg and Bacon along with Hashbrown isn't that bad for health! hehe~ The reason why I love the MacD breakfast here is because they use burger bun instead of muffins... Sooo Soft! I hate MacD's Muffins~

Our Dinner on Sunday

Tiki's ABC Soup
(He say add some dates is sweeter... though I still prefer without.)

My Pork Chop Creation

We tried the Thai Durian we bought on Saturday from Gourmet Market. It's called Kanyaw. Taste pretty good! Will try to eat somemore cos I heard reasonable amount of durian is good for Bao Bao.

無聊!

Tiki took this picture of me at the "Crime Scene" of my lost Glasses
Anna & Charlie Cafe

Sadly, we never found them... Now, I'm left with my one and only pair of......

Delibrately Huge, Retro or some might say, Orbit;
Unintentionally Broken and Skilfully Repaired with Rubber Band
Glasses
(No Make-Up and Cock-eyed)

A Collage of Me Feeling Bored
(Spot the Differences)

My Birthday is next week... But I don't feel like going anywhere or doing anything special. Except for the fact that I suddenly crave for BBQ & Buffet session with my closest Family and Friends... The preparations, the Chicken wings, Char Bee hoon, Baked potatoes, Sambal Stingray, Spring rolls, Deep fried prawns... The noise, gossips, chatting, the mahjong, the card games, going on and on the whole night! Everyone enjoying and happy without a care in the world!! Well, that's impossible for now for sure...
I'll just dream about it tonight!

Bao Bao at 33 weeks!

Internet was down for 2 days! So I wasn't able to update timely~

Went to see Dr Suvit on Wenesday afternoon alone this time because he had to change the appointment time and Tiki wasn't able to make it. When I arrived at the hospital, I was served once again, my "favourite" drink... 50mg of Glucose! YUCKS!! I have no idea how many more times I have to do the test, I forgot to ask! hee~ Not a very pleasant test... After drinking, I'm supposed to wait (ALONE) for about an hour before anything else. I was so sleepy, but I forgot to bring my mask out, so couldn't fall alseep on the comfy couch... Instead, I spent about 30minutes playing Bejeweled on my phone...
(Use of Mask: Unable to sleep without it in public. To hide my sleeping face, drool, prevents dry throat, choking, bacteria, germs and unknown "kaka"... It's not a fancy accessory, it's an absolute essential neccessity!)

Half-drank Mug of Glucose :: Needle Poke

Luckily, Dr Suvit rescued me from boredom and saw me at the 45mins mark. We did some routine checks like the heartbeat and position of Bao Bao. Here's our conversation when I got off the examination table,

Dr: "I think Baby is going to be Big!"
Me: "Big?!" *looking shock*
Dr:  "You don't think big?"
Me: "I thought I have a small tummy... Maybe I'm just fat."
Dr:  "Hahaha, we will see about that!"

Well, I have no idea what to think about that comment... He mentioned that looking at my statistics, I should have 80% chance of natural birth. *Fingers Crossed* We discussed more about the how labour is going to be like and how frequent contractions should be before going to the hospital. I'm having less questions to ask nowadays... probably I'll have more when the date is nearing.

The nurse took my blood for GTT then I left...
I needed some sleep back home but Bao Bao was having sugar rush from all that glucose I've taken... He was jabbing, poking, dancing and twirling non-stop inside while I was trying to nap... GOSH! I got the after effects of the sugar rush as well... I felt cold, sick and very grumpy! I hate that Drink!!! Thank god, I passed the test, I can't imagine downing 100mg of Glucose!

Our Statistics:
Bao Bao's Position: Head down -as always, which is a good thing... :)
Bao Bao's Heartbeat: 140 bpm
My Blood Pressure: 128/77
My Heartbeat: 101 bpm
My Blood Sugar Level: 131 (2 points less than the last time...)
My Weight: 73.5kg (After a heavy lunch... hehe~ but who am I kidding?!)

My Baby Bump at 33 weeks

Having a bit of problem sleeping... My upper right ribcage hurts like mad every single night... and who's the little culprit? I can actually touch his foot!! It's like a little "Baluku" next to or underneath my ribs... And he doesn't wanna to move his foot away no matter what I do... I tried light massages and changing positions... But he'll just happily stay where he is while I sleep in pain... The pain will only happen when I'm lying down though. His feet doesn't really bother me during the day maybe because I'm standing or sitting up most of the time... Only once a while he will Jab me up the ribs while I'm sitting...

Another sleeping problem is the tickling... Bao Bao tickles me from the inside sometimes and since he's getting stronger, I can feel his fingers moving rapidly by the side of my tummy ! I'll JUMP right up from my position... It's really really ticklish!!! I don't mind the boxing and kicking as much as the tickling... hehe~ The kickboxing routine is getting powerful and quick! It's the most amazing and funniest that no words can describe how that felt! Keeps me pondering what's is he actually doing in there! =)

Pelvic soreness is not getting any better, in fact I think it'll just get worse as days go by due to Bao Bao's weight gain. I was trying very hard not to waddle like a penguin, I think I will have to give in very very soon...

Sometimes, Tiki tries to push the "Baluku" under my right rib and I keep telling him not to, just in case it'll cause any injury to Bao Bao...  This Tiki is getting very impatient and naughty... He likes to slap my tummy to make Bao Bao move... I told him not to, because Bao Bao might feel the slapping and pain! hehe... Something like 搁山打牛 in the some Kung Fu show~ He's really jealous of me being able to feel Bao Bao movements all the time and he can't! haha... Too bad!!

Definition of "Baluku": Bruise or Bump or a type of Asian Fruit.

Char Bee Hoon

I've finally "Char" the long awaited Bee Hoon over the weekend. Since my little accident I've put off cooking Bee Hoon altogether. I'm glad I made it on Sunday... Yummy!
(Ingredients: Bee Hoon, Egg, Prawn, Ham, White Onion, Cabbage, Carrot, Garlic, Shallots, Spring Onion)

Tiki made Old Cucumber Soup!

He said, "I make the best soup in the whole world!! Bao Bao is sure love to drink soup made by Me!"

Hahaha... I'm sure Bao bao will too! They're all so DELICIOUS made with LOVE~

Nowadays, every few sentences he says, there's bound to be a "Bao Bao" or "Baby Tyler" in it... hehe!

老黃瓜湯

♥ 老公 and his daily dose of StarBucks & Newspaper during Lunch~

This afternoon, we were deciding where to go for lunch when I realised that I've got some leftover cabbage and prawn from Sunday's Char Bee Hoon. Since Tiki's going to be really late for lunch due to some meeting, I decided to make use of the ingredients and made us Spicy Instant Noodles... I know it's pretty unhealthy... But at least we got some nutrients from some fresh ingredients... It feels so good to have instant noodles after sometime... So Tiki came back home for lunch! :)
