Bao Bao at 39 weeks!

7 days to go~

I'm not sure but I think maybe Bao Bao has Dropped or Lightened because these couple of days I've been running to the loo with much urge but without much output...I also ate like a swine yesterday which made me feel that probably I'm having more space in my tummy to ingest the food...

My Food Itinerary for Yesterday:

  • 10:00 WAKEY WAKEY
  • 10:30 Glass of Milk & A Bottle of Bird's Nest
  • 11:45 A Packet of Chicken Rice with both Crispy Chicken & Broiled Chicken
  • 12:15 I made A Soft Bun spread with Kaya & Butter
  • 12:20 I made A Soft Bun with Egg and Cheese & A Glass of Milk
  • 13:30 A 2 inch Slice of Sara Lee Marble Cake
  • 15:00 A Small Pack of Lays Seaweed Potato Chips & A Glass of Milk
  • 16:30 NAP TIME
  • 18:00 WAKEY WAKEY
  • 19:40 Plate of Rice with Steamed Pork Belly, Broiled Brocolli, Fried Egg Tofu, A Bowl of Mushroom Soup & A Bottle of Orangina
  • 21:00 2 Seeds of Durian
  • 23:00 5 Rolls of Strawberry Waffles & A Glass of Milk
Am I glutton or what? But I didn't feel FULL at all that's why I kept eating!!

Steamed Pork Belly, Broiled Brocolli, Fried Egg Tofu
I did not touch the Salted Egg :(

I'm counting on Bao Bao to arrive on his own accord/naturally... Hoping and praying hard I won't need to be induced... I'd rather go through C-sec than induce him... I dunno why, but I really hope he can come out when he's ready and give me some sign...

Just these couple of days, I really feel his weight/ heaviness and probably some short contractions... He's also been squiggling his buttocks alot more... I'm waiting for the discharge of Mucous Plug as a sign... Not yet le!!! Can't sleep past 2 nights due to the anxiety and anticipation... Tiki is getting SO impatient!! He's been talking to Bao Bao every night...

I never really thought that I could carry Bao Bao to Full term (37weeks onwards)... Because of several factors, but I did!! I'm really happy about it... I keep thinking it's probably because I keep eating nice food and Bao Bao is enjoying inside that's why don't wanna pop! hehe...

Feels Like Home Again

Since years ago, I haven't been spending alot of time with my parents. What I mean is staying with them... After such a long time, I'm experiencing my "Childhood" all over again! =)

We used to do KTV sessions and sing-a-long to songs to Oldies and Hokkien songs at home... So we've been doing it during their stay here by looking for these Nostalgic songs from YouTube. Brought back so much memories...

I'm enjoying Delicious and Healthier home cooked food all the time. Needless to say, I've "retired" from any chores... Mummy is doing all the cooking!! YEAH~!

Things parents do for their children... It's just unbelievable... And I'm totally relishing everything! =) I got me wondering if I'll be doing the same in future...

I'm still going out shopping for groceries with them so that they'll get used to the different supermarkets! Probably next week onwards, I will stay home to rest.

During our Skype session with my brother and XingNing,  I could tell that she really misses her Grandma and she kept saying, "我要去姑姑家!" She's so cute!! Well, I suppose they'll come visit me next year! =)

Tiki got really sick from the yearly Off-site Dinner with his colleagues on Saturday night. Every single person was toasting/congratulating him for expecting a son and he could not reject. He had about 10 glasses of whisky on the rocks... He was still sober when he got home at about 10pm... But then he started throwing up around midnight...  ALL NIGHT!! Poor thing... We tried different remedies... Well, I did all I could to make him comfortable... It really worries me to see him like this. Mummy made some porridge for him before we head out for groceries shopping... Thank god, he became well in the afternoon after all the TLC~ =)

Mummy and Papa Arrive in Bangkok

My Parents are Here in Bangkok!! They arrived on Monday afternoon...

They bought a luggage full of stuffs from Singapore for me... Including a brand new pot! hehehe...

Guess what?!
My Mummy was able to clean my Chao Tar Pot!!! It looks brand New! She's really that capable at washing stuffs!! I'm serious! Nothing can 難倒 her~
(if i've known, this can be done, i wouldn't have to buy a new one...)

Chao Tar Vs After Wash

Mummy made dinner for us... Some kind of Hokkien Porridge she learnt from her Grandmother... we call it Kiam Ber~ I used to have it all the time when I was young. Ingredients include deep fried hard tofu, mince meat balls, rice in ikan bilis/soy bean broth.

So far, I've brought them for walk walk around our area to familiarize again... They tried a couple of the street food, like Pad Thai, Deep Fried Banana, Deep Fried Pork Belly... They keep saying they're going to put on weight for sure! Papa is enjoying Animal Planet, Discovery Channel and all the documentaries everyday... They're relaxing and chilling everyday... =)

Another Weekend in Bangkok

Tiki and me had Char Bee Hoon for dinner on Friday night. This time I added different ingredients and it tasted better! =) I also added a whole lot of Brocolli into my Campbell Cream of Asparagus Soup... I know Campbell isn't so healthy, but I haven't had it for the longest time... =)

After dinner, we watched The Usual Suspects DVD movie which we bought somedays ago... Tiki was telling me there's a twist in the movie, that it's pretty good. I must admit it's really a cool psycho thriller! I guessed the twist right in the beginning of the movie but Tiki kept denying to keep me in suspense. Probably I've watched far too many and this was made in 1995.

Saturday, same ol' Emporium groceries shopping. I had to sit down a few times to rest while Tiki continued shopping... We had Japanese food for lunch AND dinner... We head to Aoi in Silom for dinner. Food was GOOD! I can't wait to eat Sashimi!!! I like to and mimick/imagine eating all the Forbidden Food and Tiki would always laugh and say, "Soon Soon Soon! A little while more~"
Got home and watched Gospel of John then Spurs Match. I fell asleep before the game is over... I doze off pretty easily now... ;)

Dinner at Aoi

Tiki's (I cannot eat!!)
Mine!
Inaniwa Udon with Kakiage :: Inari Sushi

Sunday, we had MOS Burger for lunch... Healthier than MacD! hehehe...
Made Pasta for dinner. I haven't made cream sauce pasta for quite some time... For a change, I made Alfredo Sauce with Onion, Clams and Crabmeat to go with Wholegrain Spaghetti and top it off with some sauteed brown button mushrooms. I also marinated and pan fried a piece of Kurobuta for side. Tiki made Blackbean Peanut soup!

My Parents are arriving tomorrow!!! YEAH!!! FOR TWO WHOLE MONTHS!!!
I'm also expecting some gifts and goodies! They're are going to make TAN/TOK FAMILY cuisines for us during their stay too! 太開心了!! hehe...

My 29th Birthday

I had a wonderful time tonight... Everything was Amazing and Perfect!
-All thanks to Tiki~

Well, the day didn't start off perfect because I woke up feeling groggy, sleepy and grumpy~ So as usual, I had my breakfast, log on to the internet and spent a few hours blogging, updating and surfing the web. I made lunch since Tiki couldn't have lunch with me. While watching Desperate Housewives Season 3, I had Instant noodles with eggs, prawns, bok choy and tons of tofu. You can say I wasted first half of my Birthday doing practically nothing interesting... I'm happy to see plenty of Birthday wishes for me on my mobile phone and Facebook... That sort of brightened my day a little... Thank you! =)

Today, Tiki took half-day off from work to accompany me but then he wasn't home until about 3pm due to some business lunch. While I was trying to nap... I heard "DING-DONG" then I went "Haiyah... Just laid down only!!" So I "strolled" to open the door (cannot walk very fast anymore). Surprise!! Tiki was holding a bouquet of flowers! They were so beautiful! I love the scent and colour!! I began smiling~

We bought a camera from the Changi Airport Duty Free Singapore from our last trip in September. But we didn't get onto playing with it, so I decided to start using it today... I'm totally happy with it! I actually feel like I'm a professional photographer! haha~ Still need alot of practice though~
(I mentioned to Tiki about a hundred times how I loved our new camera throughout the day.)

Anyway, we took off for dinner at 1830. The Prime restaurant we were going is across the river ___ situated in The Millennium Hilton Hotel, Bangkok. We got to enjoy the River View because we were given the window seat as per Tiki's request because it is his wife Birthday! hee~ The service and food was Fantastic... I've decided on the set menu since, it was highly recommended and I was very hungry. I enjoyed every single dish. Especially the beef, even though it had to be cooked well-done... Every bite was a surprise... I think this is by far the best piece of meat I've ever had...

Dinner ended with a surprise when the crew showed up with a Complimentary cake, singing Happy Birthday to me... I was quite embarrassed about it mainly because it is a fine dining restaurant was and it was so quiet... It felt like a sudden burst of firecrackers and everyone was looking my way...

My Birthday Slideshow

(Was trying to upload slideshow but I'm experiencing some problems with the internet. Meantime, you can browse pictures in my Facebook.)

I've enjoyed myself to the fullest tonight with the company of delectable cuisine, beautiful view, great ambience and my wonderful 老公.

I didn't just fly to the moon, I was OVER the moon!!

Prenatal Lesson 2

Had High Tea with Kelly this afternoon at Dusit Thani Hotel. We shared a couple of cakes together... My favourite was Milk Chocolate Banana Cake... =) Van-Dylan was just running all over the lobby cafe touching and exploring things... He's really cute... I wouldn't say he's a active baby, I think he's just really curious at this stage...
Kelly is so funny, kept insisting on taking lots of picture for me... I felt a little awkward. Her logic was to capture nice pictures one month before the baby comes... Anyway, I'll collect more pictures from her soon... Had a nice time~

Picked Tiki up from work earlier to go for Prenatal Lesson 2. This time he was able to come along with me... Thankfully! Doctor talked about Labour and the details of different types of delivery. I thought it's wise for Tiki to know the useful details at least he can interact our plans with my Gynae when D-day comes.

They also showed us the rooms for delivery in Bumrumgrad Hospital. Since I haven't seen the ones at BNH hospital, it gives me an idea how it's going to be like.

Window Shopping

Friday night, we had Steamboat at COCA for a change... Tiki and I aren't fans of steamboat but we've been so sick of eating similar food all the time. Not too bad, we had lots of vegetables! I'm sure we'll be heading back there for some simpler food.

On Saturday, Tiki brought me to a Japanese Restaurant, Aoi for lunch... They have several branches in Bangkok, and since we usually do our weekend errands at Emporium, we gave that one a try. Surprisingly, the service and food is really good and most importantly, not overpriced. I was salivating at the sashimi sets... 我忍!!

After lunch, we decided to go window shopping. Tiki is looking for a vest or sweater because according to him, his office is freezing! We popped by Louis Vuitton and Chanel for price check! hehe~ Just for fun! We're not intending to get anything... Wanted to know how much more does it cost in Bangkok. Tiki was in love with a Bag in Louis Vuitton. I just mentioned that maybe we can get a Diaper Bag from LV, then he saw this huge bag big enough for baby stuffs, which I sort of also like... Cos it looked really cool! I checked the price and it cost about a whooping SGD5,000 here! NO WAY I'm going to spend that kind of money on a DIAPER BAG!! I told Tiki, might as well buy Chanel! haha... SO! We walked away and dropped by Chanel to check out the price of my Dream Bag... It's scary how much more it costs here compared to Singapore! At least SGD700 more! It's crazy!

In the end, we didn't even get Tiki's sweater cos he couldn't find anything nice... Next stop, is Gourmet Market to do our grocery shopping... Nothing much, just routine shopping.

In the evening, we pop by the new Anna Restaurant and Art Gallery for dinner. Their menu is almost the same as the Anna and Charlie Cafe, which we frequent. Bummed into the owner, Charlie as we were leaving and I was looking at a picture of how Sathorn Road used to be... Much like a mangrove area... How things have changed.... He did his part of PR and seemed like a nice guy...

Sunday, we chilled at home watching Desperate Housewives while Tiki played with his Computer. We had MacD breakfast again! I suppose Bun with Egg and Bacon along with Hashbrown isn't that bad for health! hehe~ The reason why I love the MacD breakfast here is because they use burger bun instead of muffins... Sooo Soft! I hate MacD's Muffins~

Our Dinner on Sunday

Tiki's ABC Soup
(He say add some dates is sweeter... though I still prefer without.)

My Pork Chop Creation

We tried the Thai Durian we bought on Saturday from Gourmet Market. It's called Kanyaw. Taste pretty good! Will try to eat somemore cos I heard reasonable amount of durian is good for Bao Bao.

Our McD Weekend~

We ordered McD in for dinner on Friday night cos Tiki wants to work out at the gym and traffic on Fridays are the worse in Bangkok! I know... It's not a very good idea for McD & Working out...

Workout + MacD = 0 calories burnt!

But, what the hell~ hehe! We had a Double Fillet Meal each and shared a box of Spicy MacWings... I prefer the McWings in Singapore cos the ones here has got too much Flour~

After dinner, we went to the movies... In the comfort of our very own cozy bedroom... We bought a couple of Dvds back from our last Singapore trip... We watched 葉問-前傳 (Ip Man 3- The Legend is Born). The actor in the movie some how resembles both the REAL 葉問 and Donnie Yen (Donnie Yen was casted as 葉問 in the 2 previous shows) I enjoyed the movie alot! *Clap Clap* for all 3 葉問 movies...
(Impressed that Tiki knows all the characters in the movie well... So I asked him how the **** he knows everyone? He replied: "Thanks to all the Or-bit shows you hated!!" DUH~)

On Saturday, we went to Emporium for Lunch, grocery shopping and baby shopping... Had lunch at Ootoya and bought some  stuffs to cook for Sunday. I'm almost done with baby shopping other than a few items, so we decided to grab those before I get even more tired...

Diapers (2-packs of 84pieces)

Rocker
(was contemplating between bouncer and rocker)

3 More "Cuddle n Dry" Baby Towels
When we got home, Tiki made my weekly chicken essence. It's quite good actually with a few slices of 泡参... For the sake of Bao bao~ I'll drink up! =) And THANK YOU TIKI! It's not easy cleaning, skinning and chopping up the chicken~

Tiki working the Chicken

Waiting for Dinner

We went to All Seasons shopping mall for dinner... There's a Chinese restaurant there offering Peking cuisine... We overheard some Singlish there... They're probably staying at the Conrad Hotel next to the mall...  Food was OK~ Not fantastic, but good enough for us...

Peking Food

Sunday morning, we woke up feeling lazy... We initially planned to walk to Secret Garden for Lunch... I was feeling rather hungry at about 11.30am, so I went to change followed by Tiki. But then after consideration, I said to Tiki, "Shall we have McD?" heehee~ Too lazy, tired and HOT to go out... So we ordered in again! I know I sound like a Fast food junkie, not everyday tho! hehe~ I had a medium Fries, a Deluxe Cheeseburger and 6pieces of McNuggets.. Heavenly~

Ended up we watched the movie, Grey Gardens filmed in 2009 on HBO together. (I've already watched it Saturday night, but it's so interesting that I watched it again). Drew Barrymore depicted Little Edie fantastically! The pair of eccentric mother and daughter really got me thinking... I went to do further research on them. Then I watched the documentary, Grey Gardens filmed in 1975, watch the documentary here. (I also found the site offer free documentaries! Yipee~)Watch and let me know what you think... =) I find it amazing how Hollywood is able to find or replicate everything, especially the costumes based on the 1975 documentary... Oh ya, I think they made it into a Musical at Broadway too...
Grey Gardens 1975 Vs Grey Gardens 2009

For dinner, Tiki made Lotus soup with wolfberries, dried octopus and pork ribs. I on the other hand made Lamb Chop for Tiki and Wagyu Beef for myself.  For sides, we had butter baked potatoes, caesar salad and garlic bread... Yum Yum!

Last but not least...
Since we bought a tub of WALL's vanilla ice-cream on Saturday. I decided to have some for dessert after our home-made dinner. When I opened the tub, I laughed out super loud!! hahaha... I ran to Tiki and told him to take a picture of me...
Tada~
*Vanilla Boobies*
Have a Wonderful Week Ahead!! =)

More Food!

I sort of started cooking again, but only simple dishes that doesn't require too much skills and cutting... Made ABC soup with corn with our Magic Pot! My first attempt to use this pot... Looks like not so bad afterall! All the ingredients were soft and nicely cooked... Saves energy and the hassle of have to watch the stove for over-boiling! We usually use Slow cooker for soups which requires at least 4hours of electricity... Well, not anymore with this Magic Pot!! =)

Boil Concoction for 30mins

Place inside the Thermal "Magic" Pot

Lock it In for at least an Hour

Tiki wanted to try my Fried Macaroni so I made that for dinner again... This time I added green peas and fresh onions... I also prepared some deep fried shallots for garnish... BUT!! It became overcooked and too black, while I was trying to take a picture! WASTED!!! I had to throw the whole thing away... No more picture taking while cooking!!

The Shallots

Tiki said he likes the Fried Macaroni too! hee...

Oh... wanted to blog this but I kept forgetting... I got the permission from Esther to do this! hehe~ Joke that Donut shared with us about Hilda's Ambition while I was in Singapore.

Hilda's Ambition

Hilda: I want to earn alot of money when I grow up!

Daddy: Ok Good! So what kinda of job do you want to do?

Hilda: Erm... I want to be Cashier!!

*KA-CHING~!*

Kids say the darnest thing... I couldn't stop laughing... heehee~ How adorable! =)

My "SIN" City

Let's start with the itinerary I had during my trip back to Singapore...

Tuesday, 14th September:
Tiki came and pick me up after work and we left Bangkok to our Home country~

Waiting to Board :: Us On Board
Our In-Flight Supper

Wednesday, 15th September:
We arrived around Midnight and got home at around 1am... We were so tired! Then we found out that the aircondition in our rooms couldn't work even though I already arranged for servicing the day before!! I had to sleep alone in the living room's sofabed for the night! (I returned to the bedroom subsequent nights with the Fan ON!)

We woke up at 8am in the morning to collect our rented Car from Avis. It was pouring!! We had to hitch a cab eventhough the shop was about 10 minutes walk from our place... I was in a foul mood due to the lack of sleep which causes my sinus to go wild... But we had a fully-packed schedule ahead, so I had to bear with it.

We headed on to our new place to collect the keys. We're very happy with the workmanship and looking at our apartment real life reassured us of our decision! Met up with Bock and BY for lunch at Boon Tong Kee Chicken rice near the new place. They wanted to see the apartment too, so we brought them there after lunch...
Terrace
(One of my Fave Area)

Big Pool
(Is a Must!)

My Dream Come True
(Our Very Own Private Lift)

We met up with the Interior designer as well after Bock & BY left... I told Vanice the general idea I had in mind... We'll see how it goes and what she propose later on.

We went to Great World City to buy some books and more baby's stuff Tiki also needed a haircut. So I had my hairwash while waiting for him.

Went back to CCK for Yummy Family dinner and pick up my precious little 小小個 寶貝 Puppy Lacey. She's so excited and ecstatic to see us! haha... Jump Jump Jump and Follow Follow Follow~ Gave my Brother 2 XXL T-shirts, 4 huge packs of tidbits and a bag full of hair accessories for Xing Ning! hee~ We left at around 2130...

Was planning to go over to Cheryl's place, but I just couldn't make it cos I was SO tired, I was practically dragging my feet whenever I walk!!

Puppy On Her Way Home

I needed to get some milk on my way back home so I dropped off to 7-Eleven near our house to get it. When I got out of the car, Lacey literally Shrieked!! hahaha... she looked so frantic and worried that I was going to abandon her in the car with Tiki! Awww... my poor 寶貝.

We forgot to bring her blanket and pillow over, so we let her sleep in the bed with us... You could tell how blissful she felt! hehe...

Thursday, 16th September:
Refer to My Lovelie Cheryl Wedding Post.

Friday, 17th September:
Tiki had to go back to the office in the morning and he had arranged to meet like a million people over lunch and coffee.

Mich, Yan and Me decided to meet up in the afternoon at Takashimaya. We had Tonkichi for lunch and Coffee at Coffee club. Feels nice to catch up on a lazy afternoon... =)

My Yummy Tonkatsu with Cheese

Yan :: Mich

Yan had to go back to work after coffee, so Mich went shopping with me for MORE baby stuffs... hehe! I've finally found the "little companion" for my Bao Bao as well as the Music Mobile I wanted. We had to run to several places to look for them tho... Mich was great help since I start to get tired easily now! Her bag already weighed a ton but she insisted on carrying all my stuffs! THANK YOU!!

Bao Bao's Bunny :: Tiny Love Music Mobile

In the evening, we caught up with Delia, Roy, Lynn and Gina for dinner at Wolf Brasserie. It's nice to listen to some news and gossips from the "Market"... Hee~ I had a good time! Dinner ended at 2230~ =)

My Veal Chop :: Tiki's Shrimp and Scallop

Saturday, 18th September:
We woke up at around 1100 then had breakfast at Kiliney Road. I had my favourite Nasi Lemak!

Wakey Puppy

I attended Tiki's Citizenship Ceremony conducted at Tanglin Community Club. There were more than 3,000 people getting their Identity Cards in the whole of Singapore. And In the Tanjong Pagar GRC, there were already 200 people! We watched a video of the history and growth of Singapore. After everyone got their Certificates, we all said the Pledge and sang the National Anthem. This is the first time after so many years I did that with so many people. I felt patriotic! hehe~

We took my Parents and Lacey to the new apartment to have a look. Lacey seems pretty happy about the new place... running around in the huge terrace! haha... Then, I had to say goodbye to her when my parents took her back to their place... She kept looking at me as my Dad drove away...  sigh~ I miss you, puppy! =(

Last Shot of Us before I go :: Checking out the new Apartment

Grandma's house was our next stop for dinner. I walked into her house and I greeted, "AH MA..." then she looked at me and went, "Umm..." Then while I was walking towards the kitchen she said VERY LOUDLY..."ORH!!! AH LEY AH!!!" Hahahahha~~ She couldn't recognise and didn't know that it was me!! She thought I was Connie!! hahaha~ That goes to show how drastically I've changed!
Didn't manage to see most of my relatives cos some were preparing for exams and some were sick. Anyway, I had a nice dinner and good to see my Grandma had recovered from her awful Fall...

We went back to Robertson Quay area where I met up with Kathy. It's been awhile. She had her dinner at Sugisawa while we chat. It's like we've never been apart. Well, it goes to show that nothing had changed much between us in terms of our relationship... =)

Tiki and his mates (Mervyn, Ken & Audrey) were having drinks at Harry's. So after I parted with Kathy, I joined them for a while before heading home to pack for our trip back to Bangkok...

I love being back home in Singapore... But then again, I loathe having to leave after only a few days! It was a jam packed schedule this time round plus me being so heavily pregnant, I didn't get to fully enjoy as much as I should... Think it'll be 2011 before I get the chance to head back HOME~
