等吃...等睡...等生...幸褔!!!

I've been sticking my ass on the couch staring at my Macbook or watching documentaries with my Parents in the day... Other than that I'll be reading in my bed or snoozing... Once a day, we'll still head out for lunch or groceries shopping. Mummy will be in charge of preparing dinner with some help from Papa while I take my daily nap... I will be woken up to the house smelling wonderful scents!

If this is not Bliss, I don't know what else is... =) I suppose when we're young we take these things for granted... But after living independently for such a long time, I guess I'm able to appreciate these gestures of LOVE...

Friday night, we had dinner with Roy... His main purpose to Bangkok is to visit 白籠王, a famous divine being who advised many Hong Kong Celebrities  inclung Tony Leung and Edison Chan. Anyway, Roy brought 12 bottles of Bird's Nest with American Ginseng for me which was highly recommended by one of our friends. Surprisingly, it isn't as expensive as the Eu Yan Seng one I've been having and it taste so much better!! Happy! He also brought along 2 bottles of Pandan kaya for us! =)

Tiki and Me had dinner with Roy again along with Kelly and Roland on Saturday night. This time without my parents. Went to Somboon Seafood... I was so tempted by the Fried Oyster (Hoy Thoot) that I had one piece with the fried flour/egg! Luckily, nothing bad happened!!
I'm so glutton and Tiki always don't stop me!!! I'm just so spoilt~

Come play with me...

Mich arrived on Thursday morning! I was so excited when I arrived at the airport at 8.30am... But emotions eventually dampened after anticipating for near to an hour...Until I saw her then everything was good! hehe...

We had plenty of time to do shopping for the day... First things first, we headed back to my house to settle herself down and her luggage (full of MY stuffs)... heehee... She's one of my personal shopper cum consignment from Singapore... *hugs* SL got some Nike rompers for Bao bao! I couldn't stop smiling... They're so small and kawaiiiiiii~~ Hehehe... I was imagining a little athelete~ *hugs*

Nike Rompers from SL

Platinum Mall was the itinerary for the day... Caught up with Roy (Esther's "brother") over lunch, since he was in town to replenish stocks for his shop. It was pleasant catching up with him after such a long long time. He shared his recent experience of becoming a Father and how they "struggled" through first month with little help. Hope we don't have to wait another few years before crossing paths again.

Mich and I started shopping at about 1pm. As usual I bought at least 10 pieces of items. Mich did well too... If I didn't recall wrongly, this is the first time I've seen her bought so many items at one go! hehe... "Good Buy, Must Buy!!" Boy was I stretched by the end of the day... my feet was so sore! But it was all worth it...

Tiki and me brought Mich to Secret Garden for dinner... We had some Thai cuisine and although we were all so Full, I made her try my favourite Crepe Cake... I think she likes it too... hee~ We end the day by just chilling at home...

Friday, we decided to leave home at 10.30 in the morning. Mich was lucky enough to meet the 3 小小個s hanging around the garage area... Well, surprise surprise, not only did the "Alpha" schnauzer not bark at me, he was actually trying to get my full attention to stroke him! (I think it was owing to the last time I told him very sternly "NO!") haha... I could tell "Godzilla" isn't so happy about me sharing, so he kept nudging my leg... I have all 3 of them infront of me demanding some massage! Lovely!

As per Mich's request, I brought her to K-village for Curry Omelette Rice... We tried the creamy chicken omu rice and added curry mushroom. My verdict is, that it's not as delicious as the mushroom omu rice I usually order. But Mich seemed happy enough! hehe... You can tell by the empty plate... =)

Manicure and pedicure next~ There's this sweet little nail salon, looking so fairy-ly pink! The service was good as well as the skills. I reckon that generally the manicurists here are much more qualified than those I've experienced in Singapore or any other places I've tried... Free Hot Cocoa too! hee~ I'm currently obsessed with cherry or strawberry design, so I did a similar design as the last.

Emporium and Naraya was our next stop. At Naraya, we bought items Ash and SL asked for... I bought another 3 pairs of bedroom slippers cos my current pair looked like a pair of salted flat fish... Mich spent time at Emporium shopping for lotsa undergarments... She bought alot!!

Then I went back home to prepare for the Cocktail party held by BGC partners for their Thai traders. This was the first time I've set foot in a bar-nightlife in Bangkok. Adrena was going to be there (she looks GREAT!)... and a couple of other market ppl whom I haven't seen for a long time. Anyway, I was quite startled by one of them... *zip* It was held at Hyde & Seek. Very hip and happening place. Reminded me of the old Balaclava in Singapore where I used to hangout almost everynight (Memories~)... Although BGC booked the whole indoor area, I checked out some of the patrons outdoor... Many gorgeous people around... Food was really good too! I had a good time! And this was also the first time we arrived home so late (over 11pm) in Bangkok.

On Saturday, we went Dim Sum at China House with Mich, Adrena and Thniah... I really like that place... So pretty with so many delectables~ It's nice to hangout for tea with so many people once awhile... =)

Mich stoning at Home
(too full to move?)

Since Adrena has some errands on her lists and we need to do some groceries shopping, we head to the mall again. We spend more than an hour in the undergarments section again... While Tiki went book and grocery shopping... Mich and Adrena grabbed a total of more than 10packets of Lay's Seaweed Potato chips... I mean I love it and they don't sell it in Singapore... but when you see the way they were grabbing the chips, haha...

We sent Adrena back to her hotel and then Mich to the airport... I must say again that her stay is far too short... There're still so many things to do and eat!! hehe~

I'll be waiting for YOUR next visit! Yes, YOU!! Come play with me!! =)

Beauty Services

Last night, I was suppose to meet up with Joelle and her friend, Rachael for manicure and pedicure... Needless to say, I had to cancel the mani due to my accident... So I reached arrived at Sense of Nails at Soi Convent (Just opposite BNH hospital) at 16:30.

Joelle called and said they'll be quite late cos the Cab driver took them to a totally different place... (the cabbies here can be quite arrogant sometimes)... So I started my pedicure without them..  Since I had time to kill, I decided I should have some nail art on my Big Toe... I'm very satisfied with their service! Very careful and skilful and the price is very reasonable too~ not to mention the pretty pretty ambience...
An hour later and Joelle is still not here... Seems like they were also caught in a traffic jam plus the rain... (Their trip from Platinum Mall to Soi Convent was more than 1-1/2 hours. They decided not to beautify their nails cos we're all very hungry and Tiki was waiting for us to pick him up for dinner! =)

Anyway it started to rain and I had to get across the road to wait for my friends and driver... I was very worried about wetting my wound so I asked the manicurist if she has a plastic bag for me to wrap up my left hand... She said OORH~ and so I waited for about a minute then she came back with an umbrella! haha... She said it was alright for me to take it and take my time to return it... 3days or a week is ok!! Where in Singapore can you get this sort of service?!! And this was only my first visit to their salon!

Sense of Nails

Today, I asked Toig to throw away the beehoon I soaked yesterday and the shrimps in the fridge... Then she threw the bee hoon but said the shrimps still good... So she made Thai Fried Rice (with shrimp, eggs, ham, spring onions) !! Tiki came home for lunch too... It was quite yummy but a tinge too salty~

I also received a bouquet of flowers from Florence... So nice of her! It's really quite a huge bouquet... She called me yesterday to invite me to a party in August and I told her about my incident... haha... I didn't expect the flowers!! Very pretty!

Since I can no longer wash my hair for these couple of days, I decided to go over to Bangkok Club for Shampoo and Blow... I must say, I had a very good experience and deal today! Blow dry was standard procedure like the salons I went in Singapore... BUT the woman actually washed and massaged my scalp and hair with Shampoo 3 times!! Then she applied treatment to my hair! Pulling out strands by strands to apply the cream then wrapped my hair up for 10mins before washing... She also applied serum before blow-drying... All for the price of.... SGD7.60!!! Can you believe it?! Ok, i have to admit, I have a 50% OFF voucher, but then again, without the discount it's still quite cheap, right! I usually have my hair done in Singapore at least for SGD25 and the service isn't half as good... I'll be going back there at least 3 times a week for now... =)

My Parents Are in Bangkok!

Mummy and Papa left Bangkok today... I cannot believe how much I miss them when i came back home after sending them to the airport,  especially Mummy... Those few days with her constant opinions and speech... Even the scent of her perfume and Papa's cigarette smell... I'm really missing them!

"I want my Mummy!!!!"

Mummy's been quite naughty during her stay in our apartment cos she kept using her palm to touch my arm or legs. I kept telling her not to disturb, cos her palms are so warm and I feel hot all the time. This Mummy of mine, really loves to play!! =)

Been to a couple of shopping area with them... Like MBK, Platinum, Patpong and Emporium... They bought so many tidbits they had to pack it into a carton box for check-in! I must say, the crispy dried Pork is really good! I hope those who received the Pork would enjoy it as much as us! They got some stuffs for Ping Ping and Bro too! But most of all for their "BABY", Xing Ning! I can imagine her face when she receives all her gifts! hehe~ Here are some Pictures we took!

Tiki Parents' 1st Visit

Last week Tiki's parents were here in Bangkok with us. They were here on Wednesday night, so what we did was just stayed home for the night while i made supper for them before bedtime. On Thursday, we brought them to Evergreen Laurel Hotel for Dim Sum and the food was not too bad... I was craving for chives dumpling so we had 2 orders of that... Then we visited Erawan Shrine to have a look at the four-faced Brahma statue. I would say it was quite an experience. We went to the shopping mall next to the shrine after paying our respects. MIL bought a beautiful Lace Top and a pair of pants whereas I bought 2 blouses designed by the locals. Then we went back home for a nap before heading to Baan Khanitha for dinner which costs about SGD 400. Parents-in-law weren't too impress at that price when we converted it to Ringgit for them. FIL says eating at Food Court is much better... hehe~ We could get 100 dishes from Food Court for the same price... He prefers simple food and it was definitely too "lavish" for him... But I must say, the food at Baan Khanitha was quite fantastic... Check out the pics~ I forgot to shoot the starters and the dessert tho... We were told that same night we were there, UOB's Chairman was there having his dinner too!

Well, PIL wake up pretty early each day for exercise and walking around the neighbourhood and they were really enjoying themselves with the delicacies BKK has to offer... Without me of cos! I was still snoozing~ hee!

Friday was massage for PIL and well, i treated myself for a facial SINCE i was already there i got to wait for them. We went to this place called Healthland Spa. They use Jurlique products for facial, so YES! it was GOOD!! Mine costs about SGD75 for an hour. MIL's 2-hour full body massage was about SGD22 and FIL's 1-hour foot reflexology was about SGD12~! CHEAP & GOOD!!! Dinner was at Central Chidlom... then we head over to Suan Lum Night Bazaar where i snapped up 2 sundresses at the price of SGD12.50! TWO for 12.50!!! Unbelievable! haha... Looks like bargaining is becoming my expertise... Should include this "Strength" in my CV...

Saturday was Emporium shopping day and MORE Naraya! I'm mad i know! I don't think i'll quit till i get every single ladybug item they have~ In the evening i met up with my cousin, Wanlin~ Picked her and a friend up from MBK mall then we head over to Je Ngor for some seafood. Then we went over to Patpong! PATPONG RULES!! It's really an eye-opener for me and my cousin! Chu Sin (Our chauffeur) dropped us off at Soi Thaniya and boy is there a scene! Gals sitting or practically lining up outside the KTVs catered for Japanese... We walked away to seek some shopping at Soi Patpong, however, we were being entice all the way by poachers... Here's what we exchanged:

Poachers: Ping Pong Show??
Me: No
Poachers: Banana Show??
Me: NO
Poachers: Boy Show??
Me:NO!
Poachers: Boy F**king Show???
Me: NO SHOW!!

They're relentless... and i was pretty shocked by the lingo... BUT i was laughing~ ;) On the streets for shopping, there were still some disco around... i peeked inside and saw lady boys in bikinis shaking their booty! This was really interesting!! Did more shopping and more bargaining... Wanlin was pretty impressed by my skills... We head back home at around 11pm... Where a bowl of steaming hot Chicken Essence was waiting for me... made with love by MIL... Awww~ ;) We (PIL, tiki and me) chatted a lil while before ending the day...

Sunday~ we took it easy by heading to MBK to grab some tidbits for PIL to bring back to KL~ They bought fried fish skin, cashew nuts, beef jerkys, etc...~ While i got yam chips and cuttlefish... Oh ya, and they bought a fire engine for Yang Yang~ ;)

We send them off to the airport in the evening... It feels nice to have family here with us! Next time, it's gonna be my parents! Can't wait! =)
