Bangkok Club

Yesterday was an Orientation Day at the Bangkok Club... I wasn't really impressed by the floor area tho there's a nice view. They've got spa facilities that includes nail and hair services, massage, gym, etc... But it's just sad that i am not able to utilize the massage services now~

A couple of restaurants there as well... We settled for Chinese dinner and the food was good! Especially i was craving for tofu with diced chicken and salted fish in claypot and sweet and sour pork again! Feels like Home~

I'll probably go try out the nail services tomorrow!

Bao Bao at 18 weeks

Everything has been great with regards to Bao Bao so far. The last time we checked on June 5th, 2010 with BNH Hospital's Gynae, Dr Suvit, we checked Bao Bao's heartbeat. Sounds good! =D

Bao bao and me are loving the food here in Bangkok... Really suit our current tastebuds... I suppose bao bao caused me to crave for spicy food and kuey tiao!! And there's plenty of that here! Luckily i'm sorta off the junk food phase... hehe

Been suffering from Heartburn on and off for a couple of weeks... So i had to avoid spicy food for now...

Also, my hair parting has changed... I've always been side parting but nowadays no matter how i style my hair, it still falls to centre... Kinda funny~ Maybe i should do something about my locks...

Starting to have problems with sleeping cos i was quite worried that my position will affect bao bao's growth. I know it's best to be sleeping on my left side at about 45degrees but i can't help but move in my sleep cos staying in the same position the whole night is quite impossible for me... I'll try~

Felt Bao Bao's movement on Monday June 21, 2010 night... When i was lying down (on my left-side) on Tiki's lap while watching TV... Have been feeling the tiny movements since then... Feels like tickling and tapping from the inside... I love it! =)

Right now, Tiki's talking to Bao Bao... Asking Bao Bao to kick me... :) He loves talking to my tummy~

Tiki Parents' 1st Visit

Last week Tiki's parents were here in Bangkok with us. They were here on Wednesday night, so what we did was just stayed home for the night while i made supper for them before bedtime. On Thursday, we brought them to Evergreen Laurel Hotel for Dim Sum and the food was not too bad... I was craving for chives dumpling so we had 2 orders of that... Then we visited Erawan Shrine to have a look at the four-faced Brahma statue. I would say it was quite an experience. We went to the shopping mall next to the shrine after paying our respects. MIL bought a beautiful Lace Top and a pair of pants whereas I bought 2 blouses designed by the locals. Then we went back home for a nap before heading to Baan Khanitha for dinner which costs about SGD 400. Parents-in-law weren't too impress at that price when we converted it to Ringgit for them. FIL says eating at Food Court is much better... hehe~ We could get 100 dishes from Food Court for the same price... He prefers simple food and it was definitely too "lavish" for him... But I must say, the food at Baan Khanitha was quite fantastic... Check out the pics~ I forgot to shoot the starters and the dessert tho... We were told that same night we were there, UOB's Chairman was there having his dinner too!

Well, PIL wake up pretty early each day for exercise and walking around the neighbourhood and they were really enjoying themselves with the delicacies BKK has to offer... Without me of cos! I was still snoozing~ hee!

Friday was massage for PIL and well, i treated myself for a facial SINCE i was already there i got to wait for them. We went to this place called Healthland Spa. They use Jurlique products for facial, so YES! it was GOOD!! Mine costs about SGD75 for an hour. MIL's 2-hour full body massage was about SGD22 and FIL's 1-hour foot reflexology was about SGD12~! CHEAP & GOOD!!! Dinner was at Central Chidlom... then we head over to Suan Lum Night Bazaar where i snapped up 2 sundresses at the price of SGD12.50! TWO for 12.50!!! Unbelievable! haha... Looks like bargaining is becoming my expertise... Should include this "Strength" in my CV...

Saturday was Emporium shopping day and MORE Naraya! I'm mad i know! I don't think i'll quit till i get every single ladybug item they have~ In the evening i met up with my cousin, Wanlin~ Picked her and a friend up from MBK mall then we head over to Je Ngor for some seafood. Then we went over to Patpong! PATPONG RULES!! It's really an eye-opener for me and my cousin! Chu Sin (Our chauffeur) dropped us off at Soi Thaniya and boy is there a scene! Gals sitting or practically lining up outside the KTVs catered for Japanese... We walked away to seek some shopping at Soi Patpong, however, we were being entice all the way by poachers... Here's what we exchanged:

They're relentless... and i was pretty shocked by the lingo... BUT i was laughing~ ;) On the streets for shopping, there were still some disco around... i peeked inside and saw lady boys in bikinis shaking their booty! This was really interesting!! Did more shopping and more bargaining... Wanlin was pretty impressed by my skills... We head back home at around 11pm... Where a bowl of steaming hot Chicken Essence was waiting for me... made with love by MIL... Awww~ ;) We (PIL, tiki and me) chatted a lil while before ending the day...

Sunday~ we took it easy by heading to MBK to grab some tidbits for PIL to bring back to KL~ They bought fried fish skin, cashew nuts, beef jerkys, etc...~ While i got yam chips and cuttlefish... Oh ya, and they bought a fire engine for Yang Yang~ ;)

We send them off to the airport in the evening... It feels nice to have family here with us! Next time, it's gonna be my parents! Can't wait! =)

Hi Gals,

Somehow been MIA awhile... Cos i've been feeling rather lethargic as well as too many things to prepare and do before our move to thailand.

TK will be leaving on Saturday as planned. Initially they told him his trip will be postponed till further notice... However, looks like the bank over there cannot wait for him to be there... So he'll be leaving as planned. But he'll be heading home in 2 weeks time for a long weekend. So It's ok for me... hee~ Of cos i will be really worried about his safety. But so far Singaporeans residing in BKK actually say it's not as bad as it seems. Just try to avoid some places then it's fine. Well, i sure hope so! Meantime he'll put up in a service apt while searching for a permanent place to stay. I have to arrange for our stuffs and Lacey to come with us too! I'll join him probably Mid May~

Another news is I am Pregnant! YES! THERE i've said it!! hahaha... I actually found out on the day of my Hen's Night (19March) from the kit. SO! GO figure why i quit my "Best Friend". No cravings at all tho! so that's great! Although the first few days rather sucks with the combination of nicotine withdrawal symptoms as well as hormonal super damn bad mood! HORROR!

Right now, I'm 8 weeks pregnant, according to my Gynae.

First time i visited my Gynae on 22nd of March, she couldn't find anything in my womb!! I was really panicky cos the preganancy test says i'm positive. SO she said it could be due to a delay in my ovulation, meaning the baby was conceived later than i thought OR could be complications. Meaning i could just be 1 or 2 weeks pregnant. Anyway she was right, cos during my 2nd visit, i could see the waterbag and egg yolk! hahaha... What a relieve it was! I was so afraid it might be some sorta complications, imagine my mind running wild and the stress for 2weeks before i see my gynae again for the 2nd time??

Well, today was my 3rd visit and i got to see my foetus... baby is 18mm right now... and the most amazing thing is that I heard its HEARTBEAT! I was fantastic! hehe... Sound like beats to techno music cos it's so fast!! 143beats per minute... and i can actually see my baby's heart... pounding! Anyway, I'm really happy now...

Downside is the stupid stupid lethagic feeling i have all the time and nausea. So far i've yet to throw up. But we'll see! Another 4 weeks to 2nd trimester! Just damn damn tired and bloated! and i tend to blow up at the slightest things that irritates me... SUCKS! Trying to cope with that too...Oh yah, btw, the wisdom tooth prob i had was cos of my hormonal change during pregnancy too! SO that's why i cannot extract at this time... Hurt so much i wanted to kill myself! hahaha... but it's not giving any prob now... fingers crossed!

Don't worry that TK won't be around to take care of me... I have my mum checking on me ALL THE TIME! and also as you all know, I'm quite independent la! hehe... Oh ya, keep this to yourselves first if you can help it... Cos it's still pretty early and technically more stable after 1st trimester (12 weeks)...

Well, just thought you gals should know ALL AT THE SAME TIME! hehehe... Love ya!
