Tyler is 3 Months Old

My Little Boy is 3 Months Old!!

He's start slowing down on his intake of milk. I currently only feed him 6 times a day but he's only willing to drink 3 or 4oz each feed. Sigh... I try to increase the amount but Tyler is very stubborn. Whenever he doesn't want to drink, he'll spit everything out and cry~ No point in force feeding him.

Dr T said that's fine... Since he's still putting on weight at about 200gm a week. But I'm still wondering if he's getting enough nutrition...

He's not very into tummy time although he's able to lift his head and chest up for short period of time (few seconds). He will also attempt to crawl like a turtle when he's on his tummy~

He's a little chatterbox! He can hold a conversation for longer period now and he talks very loudly!! "Ang goo" is still his favourite word... simply cannot resist the way he baby talks!! SOOOOooo CUTE!!

I'm trying to make him go to bed by 8pm... And so far it's been working!! Hopefully he'll keep up this good sleep!! So that Mummy and Daddy can have nice dinner and rest... Although Tiki is quite frustrated that by the time he comes home from work, I'm already winding Tyler down and not allowing him to play with him... Only can speak for a few minutes! haha...

Dr T gave him the Pneumococcal shot today! As usual, Baby Tyler is SO brave!! Cried for about 3 seconds while I coax him... Dr T tried to give him the Rota Virus Oral Vaccine but he possetted along with his milk. So we had to wait another 30mins to try again... BUT again he possetted! He really hates the taste, I guess... So no choice we have to do it next month instead and we don't have to pay for it again... Dr T advise was not to feed him before the next appointment to prevent him from throwing up...

Everyone kept telling me he doesn't look like he's 3 months old... more like 5 months old... I don't know if that's true... I don't believe he's a big baby though...

Mummy's Worries

I'm starting to get very paranoid and worried over the health of my baby boy...

He is able to hit most of his milestones and his neck is getting very stable... BUT!

This morning, while I was feeding him his cough mixture, he possetted everything he drank earlier... He hasn't possetted so much in awhile already...

Then, when I was reading him the morning stories he started his very congested cough! I suppose this is the aftermath of the whole H1N1 saga... sigh~

I'm just really worried!!! Don't want anymore of the scary episodes again if I can help it! You're just so small and has already gone through so much...

When I glance at his beautiful face, so cheery and innocent.... I couldn't help the heartache thinking all that he is going through and has to go through in future...

Be Healthy and Strong, My Tyler... I think Mummy needs you more than you'll ever know...

Singapore Chinese New Year Trip 2011

We were so excited to get Tyler back to Singapore!!

Tyler did really well on both flights! On our way to Singapore, he slept through the flight and kept his intake of milk during take off and landing! While our way back to Bangkok, he was wide awake while we land but all was well because he was steadily swallowing milk...

We bought a Sasha Bear to mark his first flight and got the Captain to sign it!

Mummy, Papa, Esther and Family greeted us when we arrived!! They couldn't wait any longer to see Tyler! haha...

We headed back to our new apartment! This is our first time seeing it after all the renovation work! I LOVE IT! It looked beautiful! 

Met up with Delia, Roy, Lynn and Gina at Paradise Pavilion at Marina Financial Centre... Very good food!! Amazing Peking Duck!! Yums~

On Saturday, 5th Feb, Bock and Family as well as Charles greeted us at Taste Paradise ION for luncheon... Richard really loves kids! I've never seen a boy at the age of 12 who likes babies so much! You can see it in his eyes! And Vivian too! She keeps tickling Tyler! hehe...

It's Taste Paradise ION AGAIN for dinner on the same day! LoL... So I had YU SHENG and  Sharks Fin Soup TWICE! hahaha... This time was with Adrena and Delia...
They followed us back home then we had coffee with Ken and Audrey in Velocity until 12am!

I fell sick that night... Due to my sinus and exhuastion, I had fever...
So I saw the doc and had to stay home for 2 days to recuperate.

Ash and her family visited us on Monday afternoon! It was great to see her and the gals!! Too bad I wasn't in my best physical shape so I was not able to play much with them... Ash got her WANTS!! To feed and change Tyler!! hahaha... Tyler is the first boy she'd help to change... Sweet!

When I recovered on Monday night, Tyler got the fever exactly when mine went away~ 38.3 degrees!! Since it was middle of the night, I try to sponge him down and gave him infant paracetemol... His Fever cooled off after an hour but came back again after another 2...

I decided to bring him to PD in Thomson Medical Hospital around 10am... We saw Dr Ang Poh Liat. He diagnosed Tyler with H1N1 flu virus after testing him. The moment I heard that I was in tears! I couldn't stop crying... I was tested negative... So I had no idea where he caught the bug!!! I was imagining all the worse senarios! I was so scared and alone... Staring at my baby who's smiling at me I tried to use cheery tone when talking to him but my tears was flowing out...  His blood was also tested (the nurse had to prick his heel and squeeze out the blood... he was screaming while I held his little hands) but THANK GOD it was clear! He was admitted for observation...

Papa rushed over and brought all the neccessities for us and kept us company until he had to go fetch my Mummy... I am really grateful and thankful for all their help! They came over every evening to visit us and help out... HUG HUG!!

Since there was nothing for the virus to be given to Tyler he was given Anti Biotics to prevent any bacterial infections... The first night, he slept through very well due to the drowsiness caused by medication... I couldn't sleep at all although I was dog tired... I thought I was going to die of anxiety and exhaustion... Plus I wasn't even fully recovered from my own flu... I keep worrying and worrying and crying and crying... I kept thinking I had to be strong to take care of Tyler, I simply cannot collapse! Tiki was already back in Bangkok and I am very sorry to have him worry about us too... He kept calling to check up on us and decided to catch the Thursday plane back to us. He has so much work to do in Bangkok and yet he has to worry and rush back and forth... Sigh...

Tyler was drinking milk well and playing normally after the first night... So he seems okay. Dr Ang visited and told us Tyler's condition is stable. He should be able to discharge next day. So I kept my fingers crossed... Dr Ang confirmed on Thursday morning that Tyler can go HOME!!! I was so relieved!! But just to be sure, I am not going to bring him out anywhere!!

And so, there was no more escapades after Tyler was discharge...

I'm gonna miss my family and friends all over again... But somehow I was glad to leave the flu bug infested city... Well, when you have a baby, I suppose all you care is your child's well-being rather than your own pleasure~

Tyler is 2 Months Old

Today, we went to visit Dr T for a shot of DTP1/PV1/Hib1 Vaccination. He did really well although he did cry out just like the last time. I held his hand and sooth him. He was calm after just a few seconds.
Dr T was pleased with Tyler's growth at 75 percentile and about 1.2kg weight gain since his First month.

He was able to lift up his head and his chest slightly.
He followed Dr T's face from left to right, then right to left.
Dr T says he's doing very well! "Keng Maak!" That's good to hear.

Since last week, Tyler has developed saliva... Our Tops gets wet from his licking and sucking... His hands too! There's the "臭臭" saliva smell lingering on his hands...

Usually, Tiki will help me with the Midnight feed (12am or 1am), so that I can catch up a bit on the sleep. So the other night (20Jan11), while he was changing Tyler after his feed, his son peed on him not once, not twice, BUT THREE times!! LoL~ After the first round, he cleaned him up, then Tyler peed again... Then got him all cleaned up again... Tyler gave his daddy a long and nice pee~! Tiki was pretty pissed himself after that too... haha... I was lying dreamily in my bed meantime, wondering how come the changing took like 30mins! hahaha... It was 1.30am when they came out... But by then, Tyler was wide awake! So he had to coax him back to sleep... Poor Daddy, he had work in the morning!

Past couple of days, Tyler has been cranky after his nap... When I wake him up from his nap for his daily evening turn-down cleaning. He'll cry and cry miserably like I was about to abandon him once I place him on the changing mat. I have to carry him and coax him until he cools down then put him back on the mat, then he'll start to cry again. I don't understand why... It makes me really moody rest of the day... I hope he'll get over this phase soon... Drives me nuts! haha~

Tyler at 1M3W3D :: I Love His Smiles!

As of last week, Tyler is able to look me in the eye and smile... No longer just GAS~ He's started baby talks too!

Dancing in my Nappy :: The reason why he's so happy is because he thought we going to bathe him after taking off his clothes... Real reason, we're only changing him from his soiled clothes...

All the goo goo gaa gaa woo woo coo coo ahh ahh~

He's especially sociable and talkative during and after baths! haha...

Whenever I start shampooing his hair he starts talking... And his eyes lit up and smiles when I place him in the tub... He'll happily kick and swim in the water... It's just ashame I had to keep baths short...

While dressing him on the table, he'll coo and try talking while looking at me or at his own reflection... Well, I must say, He's not the only one enjoying bathtime! Mummy Loves it too!! =)

Tyler has found a habit of suckling on everything! He loves to suckle on Tiki's left bicep. He does it really strong and loud which eventually caused a hicky on Tiki's bicep...

I'll have to talk about his beloved Pacifier! He is so in love with it. But he keeps dropping it and DEMANDS us to put it back in his mouth everytime by screaming!
Tiki started playing "Put it in and Spit it out" with Tyler and his pacifier! It was quite funny and looked like they're having fun because Tyler was laughing!

Tyler has learnt to grab with his hands... While I'm carrying him, he'll hold on to my necklace or blouse... He calms down and falls asleep while clutching my finger as well...

As of 5th Jan 2011 at 6weeks and 3days, Tyler is 5.27kg...
We visited Dr T for the concern of his cradle caps and some rash on his face and body... Everything was common and doesn't require much attention. I thought it could be due to some food allergy or something else... Anyway, I was just being paranoid and "kiasu"! Apparently, Tyler has very dry skin, so we had to apply some moisturizer for him and bath him in some oil-based body wash... Right now, he's skin is peeling and flaky! Especially around his face and shoulder. He doesn't like it when I apply the lotion on his face... He'll simply turn here and there!

We had a wonderful time chit-chatting during the dinner... The food was good!

So, we had a quiet First Christmas and New Year for our little one this year... We will be looking forward to more holidays and celebrations in future! =)
