Bao Bao at 20 weeks!

We went for a movie today~ The Karate Kid! I must say Jaden Smith is Sooooo adorable! I think he's got the cutest "Worried" face ever... hehe! Anyway, I really like and enjoyed the movie~ By far the best Jackie Chan movie of the West~

Our Bao Bao is 20weeks as of today~ Been feeling active movements usually in the evening around 5plus to 6plus... I'm looking plumper and rounder... Yes, I have fat arms, fingers and feet now...  I have to remove my wedding band just in case it doesn't come off in the coming week... My shoes are getting really tight~ I'm literally swelling up! Should start watching out for my sodium intake i suppose...

Since our arrival in Singapore, my sinus and eczema have been acting up! And that's affecting my state of mind. I get irritated by the itch and the constant sneezing... Feeling grumpy again! Sorry Tiki for flaring up at you!! I don't really mean it and i love you!! =) Anyway Tiki suggested that it could be the humidity that's causing the eruption... I sure hope it'll go away soon, so i can enjoy my beautiful home~

Oh! We also got a stroller for Bao bao... yes, already! We're afraid that just in case i won't be able to make it back here in Sept, we'll miss the chance of getting it here... and imported stuffs are So expensive in Bkk. We had a very good deal.... (i think) We went to Mother Works at Great World City to have a look at the Stokke Xplory. Well, since 2 months ago, they launch a new Xplory, they're clearing their older version! So we bought the older one which is still very similar to the new one at a very very very good price.... ( i think) About 30% off... BRAND NEW!! Good Deal huh?! SO happy!! AND~ we got the limited edition Yellow Colour! (Well, Yellow is the colour fit for Emperors! haha...) Love it!! We're considering the Stokke Crib and so on... SO many things to buy!

Good to be back HOME~

At BKK Airport!
I cannot wait to smell the air and taste the water in Singapore~

So we arrived yesterday, late afternoon at around 4pm. Arranged for car rental for our 2 weeks (over S$1,400) back here since we'd be doing quite abit of travelling around the island~ Got a Kia Magentis, a pretty spacious car... Good enough for awhile...

First thing we did was head over to Great World City to get some essentials and then it's to my Parents place. Good to see them after awhile and chatted about life in Bangkok and show off my baby bump~ Gave Xing Ning a Hello Kitty handbag and a pair of slippers and she kept them on the whole time!! Well, one of our main objective over my parents was.... L.A.C.E.Y!!! I had missed her so much!! It's unbelievable that we've actually parted for more than a month... Her reaction when she saw us was priceless... What i mean is the sort of warm welcome we got from her... She kept running all over the house being too excited... Licking, clinging onto me, making me touch her the whole night. She's just so adorable! I think only dog owners will understand my sentiments... And so we brought her back home, about time~ =)
My Lacey~

This afternoon, we met up with Adrena for Lunch at Jing Restaurant... (My choice!) We had several dim sum dishes, soup, lobster noodles and the reason i chose this place... My avocado with pistachio ice-cream dessert!!! It's so good, i have no words to describe it... and of cos, cos I miss it!

Heavenly~

After lunch was shopping time for BOOKS!! Well, the selection of English books in Bangkok certainly requires much improvement. So we had to get our essentials from Borders! I got a Nursery Rhymes book for Tyler and 2 novels about motherhood for myself and as for Tiki, he only got 2 cooking related books this time (No BORING economics, financial, biographies, history stuffs, I'm surprise)! I'm pretty sure we're gonna return to Borders again for more stocking-up~

Books

Dinner time at TAVERN!!! We had dinner at one of my fave french restaurant... Cheryl, Bryan, Joycelin, Tiki and Me... It's the usual catching up and Miss Cheryl Tok can't stop saying SO CUTE and talking to Tyler! haha... Glad that she recovered from food poisoning by Oysters in Phuket. Me and Tiki also gave her a present for her Birthday... A Lambskin Rug since her Nest renovation has just completed... I sure hope she'll enjoy it like i do... Here's some pictures of us at dinner! Come join us next time! =)

Ultrasound Scan at 19 Weeks and 3 Days

Today's the day we've been waiting for and we almost didn't get an ultrasound cos one of the specialists is not around...

Our faces just before heading to the Hospital...

We're expecting a BOY!!!

We're so happy right now... Bao Bao is such a good boy and opened his legs so wide we could definitely see his privates! Dr Suvit actually explained to us how he can tell that our bao bao is clearly and 100% BOY! It's such wonderful news! Most of you should know i have a slight preference for a boy than girl... And frankly speaking I've been having this feeling that bao bao is a BOY~

Well, we agreed that if the baby's a boy, his name will start with the Letter "T" like his daddy. And if baby is a gal, her name will start with the letter "S" like her mummy!

And yes, we've thought about his name... both English and Chinese... But i'll just reveal his English Name here...

Bao Bao's name is Tyler Yap~ (note the letters"l-e-y" in his name)

Esther's been telling me if we know the gender of bao bao, we should start calling to him by his name so that he can recognise and relate to the sound... =)

I've put on about 7kg so far!! (From 53.7kg to 60.6kg) Unbelievable~ I am actually about 2kg overweight~ But i am not suppose to go on diet of cos... Doc advise me to stay away from sugar and carbo~ URGH!!!

Sweet Wednesday

I am 19 weeks pregnant today~ Looks like Wednesday is going to be my favourite day of the week! I am starting to feel huge and fat. Been trying to eat more healthily to provide enough nuitrients for bao bao. I'm craving for BBQ fish! Hope to get some tonight!! =)

Who can resist sweet indulgence once in awhile?
Our Secret Meeting at Secret Garden... Nice desserts with nice ambience and nice company...

Me & Hot Mama Kelly

Earl Grey :: Crepe Cake

Tiramisu :: Thai Milk Tea
(I only had a taste of the Tiramisu, Self discipline!)

Got my provisional results for my Bachelor in Marketing Management (Hon) course today... I passed the final semester!!! I was so worried ever since the day i handed in my assignments... Although it's not what i initially aimed for, I am just glad that i did it. I was really struggling to complete the assignments during my 1st trimester -(two 3,000-words and one 10,000-words).  TOUGH TOUGH TOUGH~ Nausea, headaches, moodswings, eczemas, coping with my hormones changes and Tiki being away from me... And i never wanna go thru that hell-hole ever again... I am just pleased to have completed this course! If nothing goes wrong, I'm gonna be a Graduate! YEAH!!! I can finally sleep peacefully at night... For now~ Next stop Masters in ??? hehe~

Over the Weekend~

Weekend was pretty tiring but fruitful...

Met with fellow Singaporeans: Roland, Kelly (she's from Vietnam) and their little one, Van-Dylan~ He was such a cutie and well-behaved for a 9-month old... Miss him already... =) Roland and Kelly's been giving us alota advise on how to cope with my pregnancy and life here in BKK... Sweet couple~

After lunch with them, Tiki and me went to Peninsular Plaza again... And guess what? I bought myself a blouse and a dress... The dress is meant to be for the my Cousin Cheryl wedding I hope to be attending in September... Feel so excited each time i think about it... Anyway, I'm not sure if i will stick to this dress... I can be really fickle when it comes to fashion~

We visited the ICA Church on Sunday with Roland's family... It's quite different from the Wesley.... Much more vocal... i enjoyed church here... Florence invited us to visit her beautiful home after church... Her place is about 1-hour away from Bangkok city... Peaceful and serene... I like the tranquility there... feels like a resort... She made Singapore cuisine: Hokkien Prawn Mee, Duck & Salted Vegetable Soup, Roast Chicken, Ice-cream with brandied cherrys, Fresh strawberry and chocolates! Yummy!! I was so full and felt double pregnant~ Luckily, we went for  a digestive walk around the compound, to the lake full of humongous catfish~

Looking for Catfish

Just Me~

Kelly, Me & Florence

We were so tired when we arrive home... here's what we did...

Me lazing in bed

Tiki enjoying his Jacuzzi

I went to Emporium today for shopping alone... Got some new undergarments... Yah... the current ones don't really fit anymore...

Had Mos Burger for lunch!!
Yes, it's also super nice over here...

Head over to Gourmet Market to buy some groceries for dinner. Kelly said i should take more beef, so i bought wagyu since it had to be well-done... I was hoping wagyu will help with the toughness... And it did! I'm actually salivating again right now~

Wagyu Beef, 370gm = SGD27

So i made Tiki's fave tonight... Here's what we had...

His Lobster Bisque :: Mine Carrot Tomato

Caesar Salad with Quail Eggs & Avocado

My Wagyu Beef Steak with
Butter Baked Potatoes and Garlic Bread

Tiki's Fave, Lamb Chop with
Butter Baked Potatoes and Garlic Bread

Let's Dig In!
(Yes I'm still wearing my Apron)

Felt bao bao kicking while i'm listening to Wonderful Tonight and writing this blog entry... Kicking's getting stronger... Loving It! =)

Splendid Friday

Was woken up by a call at 9am this morning~ But i didn't pick up the call in time... So i laze around a little bit (30mins) before calling back... It was Florence asking me out for Lunch! She suggested Shin Taro at Four Seasons... Wooo~ How can i say no to Gourmet food? hehe... So we agreed to meet at 11.30am. Here's what we had... I must say, the food was... Fabulous! =)

My Ice-Lemon Tea
I thought it was really cool... Check out the Tea Ice cubes
The point is, i can blend the taste to my own liking by adding more english tea, lemon concentrate & syrup...
Wonderful!

Plain but impressive Zensai...
Broiled Chicken with Radish

Seafood Salad

Eel Maki wrapped with Avocado~
Need i say more??

Soft-shell crab Maki
Yes! I love soft-shell crab! Don't stop me!!

Teapot Soup with Scallop

Yaki Beef
It has to be well done! ARGH~ Nevertheless... still taste good!

Then we head over to Peninsular Hotel Shopping arcade where Florence introduced me to several of the shop owners... And I loved the shops! The accessories, furnishings, jewellery, paintings, etc, etc... Exquisite~! Anyway, we met Rudy who designed her own semi-precious stones jewellery. She showed me stuffs made out of elephant hair... VERY NICE!!

There's another impressive shop. The owner's husband is a painter/artist, that's why her shop is filled with paintings by husband... I love the style of the shop... lotsa knick knacks... messy yet classy~  I also got to see the REAL painting of her... She's a real beauty! Even now, at the age of 71, she looks fantastic... Flawless skin, full head of hair, nice posture and etiquette! I wanna be like her when i grow old! heehee~

This is a model made by her husband.
It's a mini replica of her husband's study at home while he was painting her...
Isn't it romantic? To enhance the level of romance, when you on the light in the "room",
the melody of Somewhere Over the Rainbow starts playing...
Aww~ I know...

Here's the Desk i fell in love with in the shop...
Can i have one? Pleassseee?? hee~ (SOLD OUT)

I also had my Mani & Pedi today... Not impressed but good enough... Cost me less than SGD20 for both services. The manicurist used Kaffir Lime to polish my fingers and toes... smells nice, kills bacterial and also has positive effects on nail, skin and hair. But the most surprising thing she did to help accelerate the drying process was......... USING HAIR DRYER! She practically kneeled in front of me for 20 minutes blow drying my nails!! Well, i still wasn't completely dry when i left the spa, so i sorta ruined a couple of nails.

Dinner at Hachi~ YES! Japanese Food again~

Teppanyaki~

Tiki had the King Prawn Teppanyaki Set with Sake

While I had Gyoza, Prawn Tempura & Yaki Soba
