I'm Pregnant Again

I just found out about 10mins ago that's I'm pregnant again!!! My Best 30th Birthday Gift!!! hehehe~

No wonder I've been feeling carsick and nausea past 2 weeks! Not to mention the nightly 10pm Ice-cream and supper!!

I'm happy that the results on the self-test kit is +Positive because we are looking forward to expanding our lil' family. I screamed "YES!"(inside my head) when I saw the +sign. At the same time, I thought through the process of pregnancy all over again, the control of diet, activities and so on, I heaved a BIG sigh~ hahahaha~

I'm thinking that Tyler will not be as special as he was to us before. But I suppose as He as the first in the family is still very special and our love for him will stay strong~ Plus, he's SOoooo CUTE!!! haha

I'm hoping that lil' bud will be a girl this time! hehe... Tiki is hoping for another boy! Reason being he wants more babies!! Whatever the gender of our baby, we pray for health. Jia you Bud! (Shall name you Bud for the time being~)

Gonna wait another week before making an appointment with the Gynae!

Time to study and dig out my Pregnancy Mantra again!! Can't wait!! =)

Mealtime:

  • Tea time about 5 to 7oz depending on his mood
  • Bedtime milk around 5 to 6oz
  • Daily intake of up to 20oz.
  • Takes semi solids everyday for lunch at 11am and 5pm dinner.
  • 10 tbsp of porridge -One small rice bowl.
  • 1oz of fruits after each meal to aid his poo poo
  • Sits in high chair for meals.
  • Takes about 15 to 30minutes each meal. Because he has learnt his Mommy's childhood trait of keeping food in mouth! SIGH!!
  • Still refuse to drink much water~ ( I spoon feed, syringe feed or cup feed) except when it's very HOT and in a milk bottle. And ya, I have to carry him while feeding water too! -_-"
Sleep:
  • Takes 2 naps a day. At 12am for an hour half and 3pm for an hour half to 2 hours
  • Sleeping time is before 9pm.
  • Sleeps in his cot for naps.
  • Halfway thru night time sleep, he will cry to be carried into the room with us.
  • He's able to last longer at night in his cot now!! I'm very happy... He now makes noise between 4 to 6am instead of 12 to 1am. I'm hoping he's getting independent with his sleep soon!
  • Still he will stir and whine a couple a night wants to pat pat.
  • Still needs soother and Mr Bunny during all sleep.
At 9 Month:

He still has problems with hard poo poo. But it's getting better after I start giving him fruits.

Tyler is even more chatty than ever before!! Once he's awake he can talk talk talk talk talk until his sleeping time.

I love it when he copies what I say. The other day, he actually said FLOWER after me! hahaha... My dad's teaching him some words like DUCK and he says it well...

He can associate words with things or actions too. He cries when I called his name Sternly. Understands the word "NO". Names of some of his toys, etc.

He gets very bored with his walker and does his initial cries of objection each time we place him inside. He can run and manuveur it very well though! hehe!

He can crawl very expertly on different types of flooring now and trying to stand on his own. He bounce his Green ball and then crawls after it, and start bouncing again. Very cute! haha

He's pulling himself up to stand. Likes to play with the "Stirring Soup" toy while standing but he starts to cry sometimes because he doesn't know how to sit back down.

Needs to be accompanied most times. Doesn't want to be alone.

Went to Underwater World today with 阿嬤, Yan Yan 姨姨 and Mommy!

I visited the PD regarding his poo poo. He advised me to give him less green leafy vegetables, carrot, banana, etc. I think Ty's condition is slightly better, be he still needs me to help him if his poo poo is very hard. Other than that, Ty is healthy and happy!! =)

  • Able to crawl rather steadily
  • Able to stand up by himself with support
  • He can Hi-Five
  • Tyler can ROAR when Roared at during playtime

Mealtime:
  • Feeding formula about 3 times a day.
  • About 8oz in the morning when he wakes up
  • Tea time about 5 to 7oz depending on his mood
  • Bedtime milk around 5 to 6oz

  • 1oz of fruits after each meal to aid his poo poo
  • Sits in high chair for meals.

Sleep:
  • Takes 2 naps a day. At 10am for an hour and 2 or 3pm for 2 hours
  • Sleeping time is before 9pm.
  • Sleeps in his cot for naps.
  • Halfway thru night time sleep, he will cry to be carried into the room with us.
  • Sometimes he will stir and whine up to 4 times a night wants to pat pat.
  • Getting very restless during sleep. Once he whines, we will go into his room to pat him, but when we try to put him back in his cot, he will open his eyes to check if we're still standing there, in the dark! If we're not, he will wail!!!
  • Still needs soother during all sleep.
At 9 Month:

He still has problems with hard poo poo. But it's getting better after I start giving him fruits.

Tyler is very chatty and can go on and on and on... Almost as if he's complaining to me... Enjoys splashing water in the bath getting me all wet while he laughs!

He walks in his walker all around the house, pulling and tugging things... His favourite is the laundry! He can maneuver, follow and chase us too~

His crawling still needs a bit more polishing as we're afraid that he'll slip cos the flooring is abit slippery. So most times he'll only crawl around his gym area.

He's pulling himself up to stand. Likes to play with the "Stirring Soup" toy while standing. He falls sometimes, bumping his head! Oops! hehe~

Very very playful boy... He wants attention all the time. If you play with him, he's so much fun. But if you so much as leave him alone for a minute, he'll scream and cry... He'll chase after me in his walker!

Tiki plays hide and seek on the bed with him almost daily... Tiki will hide behind a pillow and Tyler will actually crawl over and pull down the pillow, looking for Daddy! Then they'll both laugh! Tiki will chase him by roaring then catching and tickling him... He'll crawl away very quickly! That's where he learnt how to roar at people! hahaha~

  • Wakes up in the middle of the night or early dawn demanding to be transferred to our bed where he will snooze till morning.
8 Month Check:

We went to visit Dr Ngiam just for a check since we've been back from Bangkok.
He says he's happy with Tyler's growth and that there it is not neccessary to see him until Tyler is 1 year old, due for his next vaccination.

I asked Dr N's advise about the amount of milk infant at Tyler's age require, Dr N's reply was, "ZERO!" His arguement is Milk is purely food! Infants drink milk because they are unable to digest or swallow any solids. But once your child has started on solids, it is not neccessary to feed him milk. Intense marketing of formula milk makes us believe that we HAVE to give it to our children. Only feed him if he wants. I was shocked... Well, my opinion is, as long as I can, I will try to let Tyler continue drinking milk for easy calcium and other nutrients. Then again, I won't be so stress about it though~ ;)

Tyler is 7 Months Old~

Milestones:
  • 2 lower front teeth emerged
  • Able to sit without support
  • Able to be on all fours (push UP position) trying to crawl but so far only backwards.
  • I'm not sure if this is considered as a milestone. Tyler is beginning to show signs of separation anxiety. Each time he sees me walk away he starts to whine and cry. Even when someone else is holding him. He prefers me or Tiki to sooth him to sleep.
Mealtime:
  • Feeding formula about 3 to 4 times a day. 4oz to 8oz depending on his mood~ ;)
  • Daily intake of 15 to 20oz.
  • 2tbsp of Fruits & yogurt or baby rice for brunch.
  • 1/2 cup of porridge (usually 1oz of protein, 1oz to 2 oz of veges, and 1oz of rice with sprinkles of ikan bilis, cheese)
  • He's able to sit in the high chair during mealtimes now... But he gets distracted easily...
Sleep:
  • Able to nap a longer period without waking every 30 to 40mins. Can nap up to 1 and half hour without stirring. Requires 3 naps a day still... He gets cranky or hyperactive when being deprived of nap.
  • Sleep time is being gradually extended to about 7 to 7.30pm to prep him for changes in lifestyle.
  • Still needs soother during all sleep. Sometimes wakes up for it.
7 Month Check:

Dr T. advises on the amount of solids to introduce to Tyler. Tyler's weight still lies within the 50 percentile so there's nothing much to worry about. Plus he's always jumping and playing happily. He seems to meet most of the milestones at his age. He took his 3rd shot of Pnuemococcal vaccine. Screamed for about 3seconds until I hold him up. =)
This is the last time we visit Dr T... We're all pretty sad because she's fantastic and I don't think we can ever find someone as good or nice as her in Singapore... We're definitely going to miss the service of BNH hospital cos it's definite that we won't be getting anything close back home...

Happy Meal Day!

I'm SO happy today!
Yes! I'm lovin' it~

Although milk intake wasn't THAT good... At least he had 18oz today... Very minimum~
BUT!

Tyler did a FANTASTIC job with solids today! *clap clap*

He had at least 3tbsp of Banana Pear Yogurt for lunch after 2oz of milk.
(1tbsp of plain Yogurt, 1 cube of Pear puree and 1 small Banana)
This is the 2nd day I've given him yogurt and he seems to love it!! I had to feed him in lightning speed cos he gulp down so fast! It took me about 10 mins to finish feeding him... =)

For dinner tonight, he had 1/2 of a rice bowl of pureed Pumpkin Porridge after 5oz of milk!
(1 cube Pumpkin puree, 1 tsp white rice, 1 tbsp brown rice mix, ikan bilis/soybean stock)
I know he loves porridge and I sure hope he will keep loving the dish!

I don't even know how to describe my joy when I see Tyler polish off the food I've prepared for him... Hopefully he'll establish solids real soon and start to love and appreciate food like Mummy & Daddy do~ Then I can practice and improve my culinary skills!

Amazed!!

My Oriental Baby

Little Tyler has a tooth emerging from his lower gums~

I reckon that was why for the past week his milk intake was significantly low. I literally had to fight with him every single feed. Looks like I've worried and got upset for nothing! Feel quite bad for treating him like the way I did when what he needed was Mummy's *TLC~ ;)

For the past couple of days, Tyler had been having porridge (with ikan bilis and soy bean stock) for dinner. I'll mix in a cube of frozen pureed pumpkin, carrot or brocolli in it. So far, he's loving it!! Usually, he'll devour at least 2 to 3 tablespoons! That's vast improvement in terms of solids on our end! Keep it up, lil one!!

I'm thinking he's a very Chinese boy (just like his Daddy) since he doesn't fancy cereal that much as compared. He likes, pear and banana too! Going to let him try some Avocado next week! Thinking of all the different menus I can put up for Tyler! How exciting!!

I've also gotten to feeding him water or steamed water from fruits with spoon during solid meals. Well, most of it got spilled out from his mouth for sure. But he's learning!! Today, he tried steam apple water... I should've had a camera in hand... He made a "sng sng" sour face completed with the "sng sng" sour shudder! LoL~ It was so funny!! Lakshmi (my help) and me couldn't stop giggling at him... hehe~

Speaking of which, while I feed him solids, in between few mouthful, it'll be a spoonful of liquid/water. Sometimes, he starts to clamp shut his mouth for the solids... But then I say, "WATER~" he will open his mouth for the drink!! I was very very amazed and impressed that my boy can comprehend this word! I'm happy with his development so far... I'll be looking forward to and waiting for more surprises!

Tyler is 6 Months Old~

Baby Tyler is 6 Months Old!
Milestones:

  • Able to flip over and back
  • Able to sit like a tripod for a few moments
  • Able to reach out for his toys
  • Able to display unhappiness when toy is being taken away
  • Laughs out loud during play time
  • Talks out loud too
  • Trying very hard to crawl
  • Sings when he's sleepy

Mealtime:

  • Currently putting Tyler in sling to be able to walk and swing about while he drinks milk (worked well initial week... getting bad once again and I seriously am out of ideas)
  • Merely 15 to 20oz a day.
  • Taking about 2teaspoons of puree with baby rice for lunch.
  • Taking about 1tablespoon of baby rice with veges or fruits.
  • (Doesn't like to sit in high chair... Only feed well when being held on lap.)
  • Love baby rusk & finished the whole piece! But it's full of sugar, so I'll try not to give him so often.

Sleep:

  • Still requires nap of about an hour every 2hour or so wake time.
  • Gets sleepy by 6.30pm but getting difficult to settle as he still wants to play.
  • Toss and turn to tummy down (very worrying initially... had to keep an eye every so often just to check that he's breathing)

6 Months Check:
Dr T is still worried about the amount of milk he's taking. Being 20oz as the minimum standard. Also, his weight gain is not ideal. (I AM VERY STRESS!!!) He's healthy and happy... (I'm not!) I'll try to encourage more solids. He was playing, shouting and laughing so loudly in the Dr's office while playing with the nurse! She was swinging him towards a string of hanging toy birds... However much he's like me, this part about birds is definitely not from my end! So, he was given 2nd dose of Rota virus and also a combo shot of Hep B, etc. He screamed with pain for about 5secs and stopped to a 3sec whimper after I picked him up.

Weight: 8.14kg
Height: 69.5cm

Am sick and tired of listening to useless advise about feeding and telling me not to worry. (If he's your kid, will you not worry?! URGH!!!) No constructive answers to my problems. Nothing's ever gonna get better... it'll only get worse! No use praying because it I have no faith anymore~ it's been 4 months! I'm tired... physically and mentally... Realley tired~

Happy 5 Months Old, Tyler!

Baby Tyler is growing up so fast!! I think I have problem with keeping up with him! =)

My Baby~

He's so sociable nowadays with all the interaction going on with everyone he sees. He laughs out loud alot when tickled, shown a funny face or looking at mirror reflection of himself... He can now play alone (for about 10 to 15mins) in his gym or rocker, pulling and tugging the toys...

His current favourite past time is bouncing... Boing boing boing~
Refuses to sit still and demands anybody who is carrying him to let him "Boing" up and down! He finds pure pleasure while we all feel aches on our arms! =)

This boy is now drinking milk lying on his back in his cot while watching his mobile and holding his toys! That way he would at least drink up a little bit better... Needless to say, I have to continue to entertain him during the whole process (takes up to 45mins). During the late morning and the afternoon feeds, he would poo halfway through his feed. So I'll have to change him and try to continue feeding and depending on his "mood" he'll deny or feed on... Sigh~

Nap time is slightly better because I resort back to swaddling him during the day... He won't flail his hands and legs uncontrollably and so it's easier to settle him back to sleep.

Night time however, has changed. He is more reluctant to go down easy... Usually, I'll hold him in my arms and pat pat him for less than 10mins and he'll doze off... BUT recently, he keeps kicking and sometimes it'll take me more than 30mins before his closes his eyes (he'll just stare in the dark) then when I put him down, he turn to one side and starts wriggling and pulling and scratching the bedsheet. I guess it's part and parcel of him growing up and learning to sleep. I'm praying he'll learn soon!!! Also, I'll try cutting down on his naptime...

He doing so so on solids up til now... He doesn't really open wide when spoon come flying towards him... So far, he can only swallow about 2 teaspoons of baby rice... The rest usually ends up on his bib~ Will persevere on the training! I've only gave him baby rice, carrot and so far his favourite was Banana!!

Dr. T is quite happy with Tyler's development... He can sit up without support for a few seconds; urge to crawl towards toys; rolling over; passing toy from one hand to the other; discovering his feet and toes...

Had his 2nd dose of Pneumococcal vaccine during the visit... (When does the shots ever end?!?!) This time he cried a little longer, I guess he's more aware of pain now than before...

We're giving him Appeton Multi Vits for Infants instead of Nutroplex for about a week already... Reason is simple... Cos it tastes much better so he likes having it...

His weight is currently in the 50 percentile while his height lies in the 75 to 90 percentile. His head circumference looks much better now, so I'm not that concern anymore. He's growing well despite problems with feeding... Though sadly, he's not looking as chubby as before~

Tyler's Weight: 7.806kg
Tyler's Height: 68cm

Solids at 4M4W1D!!

Today, I decided to start Tyler on his First Taste!

Initially, I wanted to start him on banana... BUT! My help accidentally placed the unripe bananas in the fridge last night~

Anyway, CARROTS!!
I steamed and blended a medium sized carrot in the AVENT Steam Blender (so easy to use!) Then added some formula milk into the puree.

I sat him in the Bumbo chair, turn on the TV, put on his Big Boss Bib and started flying the first flight of solids into the runway.... He opened his mouth and then, Tyler's expression was... BLANK! I think he was shocked at the foreign taste then when he realised, he gave the "sour" squinting face... It was quite funny... Just ashame I don't have extra hands to video this... Then he started pushing them out with his tongue and needless to say, I pushed them back... We played the game of spitting and pushing back in~ haha! I think he probably swallowed at least 1/3 of the portion of roughly 2 teaspoons I parted for him... which is not bad for a start!
Before

After

Going to freeze the remaining portions!

Sad to say, there has been no improvements in his milk intake... I heard it was suppose to be a phase... Well, this phase has been more than 2 months now~ Still taking less than 20oz in 24hours...

Hopefully, he'll enjoy food more than he enjoys milk!
(I'm going to be a really sneaky Mother cos I intend to add some of those formula into all his food...)

Up and Flip!

Today, Little Tyler showed Mummy how he can raise his head without grabbing onto anything... Similar to the way we doing crunches, he placed his hands above his head and pushed them towards the bed... And that's how he raised his head by about 2inches... It's just so incredible... It seems like he can't wait to get up without us assisting him~

At around 5.15pm, just before his evening wind down routine, I put Tyler tummy down at his gym... He flip onto his back instantly and next thing I know, he was back on his tummy!! I'm amazed! Too bad I didn't have a camera on hand to video this Major Milestone!! I've been anticipating for this moment~

I'd have to be extra careful from now on... =D

Tyler is 4 Months Old

My precious little one is 4 month old today!

Tyler "reading" Adventures of Peter Rabbit

He's always trying to pull himself up with anything he can get his hands one... Tiki and me were saying, he'll probably get 6-pack abs very soon with all the "sit-ups" he's doing all day long! He's learning to sit even before he can turn! haha...

Still very very obsessed with sucking his fingers... Every opportunity he gets, you'll see his fingers in his mouth! He starts putting toys into his mouth too! Gets really frustrated when he cannot suck well on the toys! haha...

Yum Yum!!

I'm not sure why, but Tyler is getting less chatty nowadays... I'm guessing because most of the time, his fingers are in his mouth or he's figuring how to put them in... Producing more saliva and starts to drool a little... Or perhaps it's due to his saliva... *Shrug*

Tyler's getting really playful!! He laughs out loud when we play peek a boo and other games with him... It's so funny and I'll laugh along with him... He loves to see me smile (vice versa), he shows his widest gummy smile when I do... hehehe... It makes everything all worthwhile!! hehe~

He is still not able to take long naps... Usually starts crying after 30 to 45mins... It's not easy to calm him down... I can see that he still wants to sleep... He'll only be able to fall asleep in my arms... But when I try to put him back in his cot, he'll yell and cry again... Sigh... I wonder when he'll start learning to nap on his own... Cos I feel it's also part of the reason he doesn't feed that well...

BUT! He is improving a little on his feeds... about 4 to 6oz each time for 5 times a day... I'm happy about it! Hopefully he'll keep this up!! I'm gonna trial on Nutroplex Multivits with Lysine this couple of days... But he hates it! Spits everything out when I give it to him... His tastebuds are sensitive, spits out any "foreign" flavours everytime! hehehe... Dr T is a little concern about the amount of milk he's taking, which makes me worry somewhat... Then again, as long as I get wet nappies, nice poo poo and a Happy Baby, I'm satisfied!! =) I don't want to stress myself or Tyler again... It'll drive me nuts if I get too anxious...

Wonderful thing is, he falls asleep by 7pm... So we get some time to ourselves... I'll wake him up around 10.30pm for another feed then he'll snooze till about 6 to 7am in the morning...

Tyler has his 2nd dose of DTP1/PV1/Hib today... Did a good job once again!! Screamed for 5secs this time and stopped! So proud of him~ =)

He took his Rotavirus vaccine last week when we went to see Dr T regarding his milk intake... This time we didn't feed him milk beforehand, I guess he was thirsty, so he took in the vaccine easily...

Tyler's growth rate of both height and weight lies in the 50 percentile... His head circumference tho is in the 10 percentile... I was a little worried, but he's developing well... Perhaps he just has smaller head...

Tyler's Weight: 7.2kg
Tyler's Height: 64cm

Chilly Bangkok

This couple of days, weather in Bangkok is absolutely Wonderful!!
Temperature around 18 to 20ºC... I love this weather.... So cooling!!!

We had to let Tyler wear a beanie before heading out

Tyler's been doing alot of sit-ups and crunches recently! Looks like he can't wait to get up by himself...
He tries to grab my fingers and pull himself up all the time!

On Friday morning, he was lying next to me after his morning feed, chatting with me and Daddy... All of a sudden he pulled himself halfway up! Both me and Tiki were shocked!! haha... Tyler actually grabbed our comforter with both his hands and tried to pull himself up! Then when he couldn't get up, he started to whine and get frustrated... hahaha...

Brought him to take his Visa Picture in the afternoon... He didn't need much support on his neck this time as compared to the time when he took his passport photo when he was barely a month old. Anyway, he kept looking down while I was holding his back until I told the lady to show him the "twinkle twinkle little stars"... We got it after a single shot!! hehe~

I can't believe that he's going to be 4 months old in 2 days' time... Time flies! I'm imagining his 1st Birthday already... hehe~

Cry it out!

This afternoon around 4pm, during nap time, I let him cry for about 15mins after he awoken... He hasn't been able to nap well recently, so I was trying out the Cry-it-out method to let him learn to fall back to sleep... It worked well once... So I tried again...

Sigh...

It was a disaster!!!

He cried very badly, so I picked him up and soothe him down... It took him awhile to calm down... he was doing the crying hics... But anyway, he calmed down eventually...

At 5.15pm, I gave him some milk...

[He's having a hard time taking milk recently too! (I had to rush to Siam Paragon yesterday just to get him new bottles and teats to try~) Walking, swinging, singing, rocking, etc are all the things I have to do each and every feed just to make him suck and swallow...]

He was doing a good job, almost finishing all 4oz of milk when suddenly he just choked and possetted EVERYTHING OUT!!! EVERY SINGLE DROP... I think it's due too all that crying causing all the wind in his little tummy to push all that precious milk out...

Consolation was he still smiled at me... it didn't seem to cause him any discomfort. In fact, I think he felt better after throwing up...

I hate myself for having to do all these things to him... I know it's part and parcel of parenthood and I have to train or trial and error many stuffs! But I get heartpain each time I see him suffer or fail...

Sorry Baby Tyler...
Mummy love you alot!!

Tyler is 3 Months Old

My Little Boy is 3 Months Old!!

Looking at Himself at his Baby Gym

He's start slowing down on his intake of milk. I currently only feed him 6 times a day but he's only willing to drink 3 or 4oz each feed. Sigh... I try to increase the amount but Tyler is very stubborn. Whenever he doesn't want to drink, he'll spit everything out and cry~ No point in force feeding him.

Dr T said that's fine... Since he's still putting on weight at about 200gm a week. But I'm still wondering if he's getting enough nutrition...

He's not very into tummy time although he's able to lift his head and chest up for short period of time (few seconds). He will also attempt to crawl like a turtle when he's on his tummy~

He's a little chatterbox! He can hold a conversation for longer period now and he talks very loudly!! "Ang goo" is still his favourite word... simply cannot resist the way he baby talks!! SOOOOooo CUTE!!

I'm trying to make him go to bed by 8pm... And so far it's been working!! Hopefully he'll keep up this good sleep!! So that Mummy and Daddy can have nice dinner and rest... Although Tiki is quite frustrated that by the time he comes home from work, I'm already winding Tyler down and not allowing him to play with him... Only can speak for a few minutes! haha...

Tyler's Weight: 6.7kg
Tyler's Height: 62cm

Dr T gave him the Pneumococcal shot today! As usual, Baby Tyler is SO brave!! Cried for about 3 seconds while I coax him... Dr T tried to give him the Rota Virus Oral Vaccine but he possetted along with his milk. So we had to wait another 30mins to try again... BUT again he possetted! He really hates the taste, I guess... So no choice we have to do it next month instead and we don't have to pay for it again... Dr T advise was not to feed him before the next appointment to prevent him from throwing up...

Everyone kept telling me he doesn't look like he's 3 months old... more like 5 months old... I don't know if that's true... I don't believe he's a big baby though...

Mummy's Worries

I'm starting to get very paranoid and worried over the health of my baby boy...

He is able to hit most of his milestones and his neck is getting very stable... BUT!

This morning, while I was feeding him his cough mixture, he possetted everything he drank earlier... He hasn't possetted so much in awhile already...

Then, when I was reading him the morning stories he started his very congested cough! I suppose this is the aftermath of the whole H1N1 saga... sigh~

I'm just really worried!!! Don't want anymore of the scary episodes again if I can help it! You're just so small and has already gone through so much...

When I glance at his beautiful face, so cheery and innocent.... I couldn't help the heartache thinking all that he is going through and has to go through in future...

Be Healthy and Strong, My Tyler... I think Mummy needs you more than you'll ever know...

Singapore Chinese New Year Trip 2011

We were so excited to get Tyler back to Singapore!!

His First flight!
His First time stepping onto Singapore soil!
His First time meeting alot of Family and Friends...

Tyler did really well on both flights! On our way to Singapore, he slept through the flight and kept his intake of milk during take off and landing! While our way back to Bangkok, he was wide awake while we land but all was well because he was steadily swallowing milk...

We bought a Sasha Bear to mark his first flight and got the Captain to sign it!

Mummy, Papa, Esther and Family greeted us when we arrived!! They couldn't wait any longer to see Tyler! haha...

We headed back to our new apartment! This is our first time seeing it after all the renovation work! I LOVE IT! It looked beautiful!

Met up with Delia, Roy, Lynn and Gina at Paradise Pavilion at Marina Financial Centre... Very good food!! Amazing Peking Duck!! Yums~

We enjoyed our Family Reunion Dinner at my Grandma's House...

On Saturday, 5th Feb, Bock and Family as well as Charles greeted us at Taste Paradise ION for luncheon... Richard really loves kids! I've never seen a boy at the age of 12 who likes babies so much! You can see it in his eyes! And Vivian too! She keeps tickling Tyler! hehe...

Esther took this Picture of Tyler while playing with him at Grandma's house...

It's Taste Paradise ION AGAIN for dinner on the same day! LoL... So I had YU SHENG and  Sharks Fin Soup TWICE! hahaha... This time was with Adrena and Delia...
They followed us back home then we had coffee with Ken and Audrey in Velocity until 12am!

I fell sick that night... Due to my sinus and exhuastion, I had fever...
So I saw the doc and had to stay home for 2 days to recuperate.

Ash and her family visited us on Monday afternoon! It was great to see her and the gals!! Too bad I wasn't in my best physical shape so I was not able to play much with them... Ash got her WANTS!! To feed and change Tyler!! hahaha... Tyler is the first boy she'd help to change... Sweet!

When I recovered on Monday night, Tyler got the fever exactly when mine went away~ 38.3 degrees!! Since it was middle of the night, I try to sponge him down and gave him infant paracetemol... His Fever cooled off after an hour but came back again after another 2...

I decided to bring him to PD in Thomson Medical Hospital around 10am... We saw Dr Ang Poh Liat. He diagnosed Tyler with H1N1 flu virus after testing him. The moment I heard that I was in tears! I couldn't stop crying... I was tested negative... So I had no idea where he caught the bug!!! I was imagining all the worse senarios! I was so scared and alone... Staring at my baby who's smiling at me I tried to use cheery tone when talking to him but my tears was flowing out...  His blood was also tested (the nurse had to prick his heel and squeeze out the blood... he was screaming while I held his little hands) but THANK GOD it was clear! He was admitted for observation...

Papa rushed over and brought all the neccessities for us and kept us company until he had to go fetch my Mummy... I am really grateful and thankful for all their help! They came over every evening to visit us and help out... HUG HUG!!

Since there was nothing for the virus to be given to Tyler he was given Anti Biotics to prevent any bacterial infections... The first night, he slept through very well due to the drowsiness caused by medication... I couldn't sleep at all although I was dog tired... I thought I was going to die of anxiety and exhaustion... Plus I wasn't even fully recovered from my own flu... I keep worrying and worrying and crying and crying... I kept thinking I had to be strong to take care of Tyler, I simply cannot collapse! Tiki was already back in Bangkok and I am very sorry to have him worry about us too... He kept calling to check up on us and decided to catch the Thursday plane back to us. He has so much work to do in Bangkok and yet he has to worry and rush back and forth... Sigh...

Tyler was drinking milk well and playing normally after the first night... So he seems okay. Dr Ang visited and told us Tyler's condition is stable. He should be able to discharge next day. So I kept my fingers crossed... Dr Ang confirmed on Thursday morning that Tyler can go HOME!!! I was so relieved!! But just to be sure, I am not going to bring him out anywhere!!

After Bath at the Hospital Ready to GO HOME!!

And so, there was no more escapades after Tyler was discharge...

On the way back to Bangkok

I'm gonna miss my family and friends all over again... But somehow I was glad to leave the flu bug infested city... Well, when you have a baby, I suppose all you care is your child's well-being rather than your own pleasure~

We'll be seeing you soon, hopefully! =)

Tyler is 2 Months Old

Today, we went to visit Dr T for a shot of DTP1/PV1/Hib1 Vaccination. He did really well although he did cry out just like the last time. I held his hand and sooth him. He was calm after just a few seconds.
Dr T was pleased with Tyler's growth at 75 percentile and about 1.2kg weight gain since his First month.

He was able to lift up his head and his chest slightly.
He followed Dr T's face from left to right, then right to left.
Dr T says he's doing very well! "Keng Maak!" That's good to hear.

Weight: 5.788kg
Height: 58cm

Since last week, Tyler has developed saliva... Our Tops gets wet from his licking and sucking... His hands too! There's the "臭臭" saliva smell lingering on his hands...

Usually, Tiki will help me with the Midnight feed (12am or 1am), so that I can catch up a bit on the sleep. So the other night (20Jan11), while he was changing Tyler after his feed, his son peed on him not once, not twice, BUT THREE times!! LoL~ After the first round, he cleaned him up, then Tyler peed again... Then got him all cleaned up again... Tyler gave his daddy a long and nice pee~! Tiki was pretty pissed himself after that too... haha... I was lying dreamily in my bed meantime, wondering how come the changing took like 30mins! hahaha... It was 1.30am when they came out... But by then, Tyler was wide awake! So he had to coax him back to sleep... Poor Daddy, he had work in the morning!

Past couple of days, Tyler has been cranky after his nap... When I wake him up from his nap for his daily evening turn-down cleaning. He'll cry and cry miserably like I was about to abandon him once I place him on the changing mat. I have to carry him and coax him until he cools down then put him back on the mat, then he'll start to cry again. I don't understand why... It makes me really moody rest of the day... I hope he'll get over this phase soon... Drives me nuts! haha~
